What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 64, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along:-Public Footpath 64, Bury - between Rochdale Road and Pimhole Road (Openshaw Park)

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate United Utilities aesthetic screens project within Openshaw Park

The alternative route will be via Openshaw Park main entrance and via other paths within the park

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 16/10/23 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although proposed extensions are likely.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (ROCH VALLEY GREENWAY, PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 64,65,179, 180 BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along:-Roch Valley Greenway, Public Footpaths 64, 65, 179, 180 Bury - between Valley Mill Lane and Pimhole Road

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate United Utilities aesthetic screens project

The alternative route will be via Redmere Drive, Gigg Lane, Alfred Street, Hurst Street, Pimhole Road & School Street & vice-versa

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 16/10/23 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although proposed extensions are likely.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BASS LANE, SUMMERSEAT, BURY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-Bass Lane, Summerseat, Bury - full length

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate telecoms works. The alternative route will be via A56 Manchester Road, Peel Brow, Bridge Street, A676 Bolton Street, Bolton Road West, Longsight Road, Newcombe Road, Peel Hall Road, Waterside Road, Kay Street, Pollards Lane, Cliff Avenue and Crag Lane & vice-versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Wednesday 18 October 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 1 day.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-Hunstanton Drive, Bury

The reason for the proposed order is to allow for the construction of a speed table The alternative route will be Hunstanton Drive - Brandlesholme Road - Woodhill Road vice-versa

The Order comes into operation on 09/10/2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 11 days.
