What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE  NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON VARIOUS ROADS, HOUGHTON CONQUEST Reason for proposal: The waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junctions are not obstructed by parked vehicles. Effect of the Order:

To introduce No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Houghton Conquest:-

1.  Ridge View, both sides, from the junction with High Street and extending in a south- easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

2.  High Street, south east side, from the junction with Ridge View and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

3.  High Street, south east side, from the junction with Ridge View and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

4.  Victoria Drive, both sides, from the junction with High Street and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

5.  High Street, north-west side, from the junction with Victoria Drive and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 17 metres.

6.  High Street, north-west side, from the junction with Victoria Drive and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 35 metres to bus stop road markings.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BIGGLESWADE ROAD, UPPER CALDECOTE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Biggleswade Road, Upper Caldecote outside number 150.

This temporary closure is required to enable water mains works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 13 October 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A1, Vinegar Hill, Biggleswade Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 9 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BURROWS CLOSE, ASPLEY GUISE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Burrows Close, Aspley Guise.

This temporary closure is required to enable footway installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 27 October 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 10 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (WEATHERCOCK LANE, BURROWS CLOSE,  WEATHERCOCK CLOSE AND HUTTON WAY, ASPLEY GUISE)  (TEMPORARY NO STOPPING OR WAITING) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from stopping or waiting along the following lengths of road:

I.   Weathercock Lane, Asley Guise from the junction with the A5130 to the junction with Burrows Close

II.  Burrows Close, Aspley Guise from the junction with Weathercock Lane to the junction with Weathercock Close

III. Weathercock Close, Aspley Guise from the junction with Burrows Close to the junction with Hutton Way

IV. The full length of Hutton Way, Aspley Guise

This temporary closure is required to enable construction works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 October 2023 to 20 April 2024. The order will be in operation at all times during this period.

Any vehicles found to be in contravention of this order will be removed from the public highway and stored until the registered owner arranges collection.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2023 for a period of twelve months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (SALFORD ROAD, ASPLEY GUISE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Salford Road, Aspley Guise for approximately 20m either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable an annual inspection for the level crossing and re-rail to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 28 to 30 October 2023 between the hours of 11pm and 4:30am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Salford Road, Crabtree Lane, Cranfield Road, Wavendon Road, Manor Close, Salford Road, Bedford Road, The Square, Church Street, Salford Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 28 October 2023 for a period of twelve months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (CRANFIELD ROAD, ASPLEY GUISE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Cranfield Road, Aspley Guise between Crab Tree Lane and Lower End Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable ducting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8am on 25 October to 6pm on 7 November 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Cranfield Road, Newport Road, Wavendon and then onto Fen Street, Salford Road, Milton Keynes and then onto Broughton Road, Wavendon Road, Salford and then onto Cranfield Road, Aspley Guise and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 25 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Church Road, Aspley Heath.

This temporary closure is required to enable ducting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8am 23 October to 6pm 3  November 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure. Access will be maintained for residents where possible.

The Order will come into operation on 23 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BEDFORD ROAD, SILSOE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER  2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Silsoe between Clophill Roundabout and Jet Garage.

This temporary closure is required to enable full carriageway reconstruction and drainage works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 30 October 2023. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A507, A1, A602, A505, A5528, A6 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (SHEEP LANE, POTSGROVE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER  2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sheep Lane, Potsgrove from the A5, north for approximately 700m.

This temporary closure is required to enable pre-surface dressing and surface dressing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 18 October to 31 December 2023 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Leighton Street, George Street, B5704, A5 to the Flying Fox roundabout and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 18 October 2023 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
