ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Lower Heyford, B4030 Station Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 2 October 2023 Coming into force: 23 October 2023 This Order is being introduced because of carriageway resurfacing work which is anticipated to be completed on 1 December 2023.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that section of the B4030 Station Road between its junction with B4030 Heyford Road and Heyford Bridge. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via B4030 - A4260 - B4027 - A4095 - B430 -B4030 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T12424/RAG)

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(CAVERSFIELD PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order - in support of road safety issues – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Caversfield, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit on the following roads:

1. Old School Close - for its entire length,

2. Rau Court - for its entire length,

3. Thompson Drive - for its entire length.

These proposals do not include those roads designated as non-highway, private, or under Ministry of Defence (MoD) jurisdiction/management.

Additionally, a 30mph speed limit is proposed in place of the existing 40mph speed limit as follows:

4. Aunt Ems Lane - from its junction with Fringford Road, north-westwards for a distance of 70 metres

5. Fringford Road - from a point 110 metres south of its junction with Aunt Ems Lane, northwards to a point 73 metres north of its junction with Springfield Road (*see note below).

* Proposals for a 30mph speed limit on that part of Fringford Road between its junction with the A4095 & Aunt Ems Lane have been consulted on separately as part of the A4095/ B4100 junction improvement works. The Oxfordshire County Council (Caversfield Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2023 will be revoked/replaced as necessary. Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by 27 October 2023. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. (Ref: CM/12.6.153)
