Westgate, Wakefield - Additional Car Parking Tariff
What is happening?

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AND CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2019
(AMENDMENT NO 1) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of its powers under Sections 32, 35 and 124 (and Part IV of Schedule 9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, has made an Order, the effect of which will be:
i) to add Westgate Wakefield car park to the Order
ii) remove Pontefract Swimming Baths car park from the Order
iii) remove Newton Bar car park from the Order
iv) remove Castleford Railway station from the Order
v) remove Gills Yard car park from the Order
vi) remove Rishworth Street car park from the Order
vii) update the plan numbers and car park names referred to in the Schedule to the Order
The Second Schedule to the Order shall be amended to include the following additional car park tariff.

The Order comes into force on 13th October 2023 and a copy of the Order, together with a map may be examined during normal office hours at the offices of the Service Director, Transportation and Highways, Burton Street, Wakefield.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
