Hamilton Road - Prohibition Of Driving For Resurfacing Of A Carriageway
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HAMILTON ROAD, SUTTON IN ASHFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2023 (A23-090)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Sutton in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Hamilton Road - from its junction with A617 Sherwood Way to its junction with B6139 Coxmoor Road.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 19:00 hours on Monday 9th October 2023 Until 06:00 hours on Friday 20th October 2023
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: A617 Sherwood Way South - A38 Kings Mill Road East - B139 Coxmoor Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Monday 9th October 2023 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out the resurfacing of a carriageway.
