What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Footpath 1, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following length of Footpath1, Maldon, in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 40 metres from the A414 Wycke Hill, east for approximately 53 metres.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 09 October 2023 to 13 October 2023, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while a new water connection is undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Wycke Hill Business Park, Wycke Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 09 October 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Conduit Lane, Woodham Mortimer) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Conduit Lane, Woodham Mortimer in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 65m north west of its junction with Conduit Well for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA73627089 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Conduit Lane, Maldon Road, Post Office Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Green Lane, Latchingdon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Green Lane, Latchingdon in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Burnham Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA72623919 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Green Lane, Highlands Hill, Foxhall Road, Southminster Road, Tillingham Road, Cripplegate, North End, North Street, High Street, Pantile Hill, Queen Street, Scotts Hill, Main Road, Burnham Road - B1018 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Market Hill, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Market Hill, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Bull Lane a distance of approximately 45m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th October 2023 for 1 night (20:00 - 23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62287737/1 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Fullbridge, Fullbridge Roundabout, Maldon Bypass, Pond Roundabout, Spital Road Roundabout, Spital Road, High Street and vice versa (with access only into Fullbridge and Market Hill).

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mope Lane, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mope Lane, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 100m north of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001265646 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Witham Road and vice versa (with access only into Mope Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ferry Road, Burnham-on-Crouch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ferry Road, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 355m south west of its junction with Creeksea Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th October 2023 for 1 night (22:30 - 04:30), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701WIS-42-28-121023 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while structure examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

No alternative route is available.

The Order came into effect on 21st September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Lea Lane, Great Braxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lea Lane, Great Braxted in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 125m north west of its junction with Old School Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA73656145 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Lea Lane, Braxted Park Road, Maldon Road, Colchester Road, Mountains Road, Beacon Hill, Kelvedon Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 21st September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
