Essex, Multiple Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Orders

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Browns End Road, Broxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Browns End Road, Broxted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 740m southeast of its junction with Brick End for a distance of approximately 65m in a southeasterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06054859/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Water Lane, Muscombs Lane, Maltings Bridge Lane, Moor End Lane, Church End, Brick End and vice versa (with access only into Browns End Road).

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Field Gate Lane, Ugley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Field Gate Lane, Ugley in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 155m northeast then north of its junction with Bedwell Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a northerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th October 2023 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06052684/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Water Lane, Debden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Water Lane, Debden in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 275m northeast of its junction with Ivy Todd Hill for a distance of approximately 65m in a northeasterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th October 2023 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06044676/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Water Lane, Elder Street, Thaxted Road, Yardley Hall Lane, Walden Road, Newbiggen Street, The Bullring, Bolford Street, Cutlers Green Lane, Sibbards Farm Road, High Street, Mill Road, Ivy Todd Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
