Alveley & Romsley Road - Temporary Public Footpath Closure

Footpath DS2, Footpath 14Y, Footpath 16R, Bridleway 48R, Bridleway 11, Footpath 48 & Footpath 10 Parishes of Alveley & Romsley Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 Temporary Prohibition of Use of Footpath DS2, Footpath 14Y, Footpath 16R, Bridleway 48R, Bridleway 11, Footpath 48 & Footpath 10 Parishes of Alveley & Romsley Shropshire Council has made an order temporarily prohibiting the use of the entire lengths of; Footpath DS2 Alveley from where it leaves FP12 at Birds Green grid reference SO 7700 8516 travelling in a northerly direction to where it meets FP39 at the Parish boundary grid reference SO 7699 8532. Footpath 14Y Romsley from where it leaves FPDS1 at the Parish Boundary grid reference SO 7684 8486 travelling across field in a generally NE direction to where it meets the County Road at grid reference SO 7712 8493. Footpath 16R Alveley & Romsley leaves FP42 at Dumbolds grid reference SO 7698 8441 travelling in a NE direction across the Parish Boundary to where it meets the road at grid reference SO 7725 8454. Bridleway 48R Alveley from where it leaves the A442 at grid reference SO 7698 8372 travelling in a generally NE direction to the Parish Boundary where it meets Bridleway 11 in the Parish of Romsley at grid reference SO 7744 8385. Bridleway 11 Romsley from the Parish Boundary at grid reference SO7744 8385 travelling across field to where it meets the road at grid reference SO 7775 8388. Footpath 48 Alveley from where it leaves BW48R at grid reference SO 7723 8378 near the ponds travelling in a generally SE direction to the Parish Boundary where it meets FP10 at grid reference SO 7757 8363. Footpath 10 Romsley from the Parish Boundary at grid reference SO 7757 8363 travelling in a generally SE direction across field to meet the County Road near Lady Pitt Farm grid reference SO 7781 8336. 

The Order will come into operation on 5th October 2023 for a period of up to 6 months or until works are completed whichever is soonest and is required so that works to install piping can be safely carried out. There are no alternative routes available.
