What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WEST ROAD, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of West Road, Sawbridgeworth from its junction with Rochester Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via West Road, A1184 (London Road/Bonks Hill/Harlow Road), High Wych Road, High Wych Lane, Beanfield Road and West Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WARREN LANE, COTTERED) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Warren Lane, Cottered from its junction with B1037 (unnamed road) south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 527m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because tree cutting and utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B156 HALFHIDE LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 Halfhide Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with the A10 Great Cambridge Road/A1170 Great Cambridge Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with Hollyfields, a distance of approximately 120m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1170 Great Cambridge Road, B176 High Road and B156 Halfhide Lane.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DANE OCOYS ROAD, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dane Ocoys Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Bishops Stortford Public Footpath No.003 north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whitehall Road, a distance of approximately 322m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Dane Ocoys Road, Cricketfield Lane, Barrells Down Road and Whitehall Road.

The Order is needed because electrical service works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BELL STREET, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bell Street, Sawbridgeworth from a point in line with the western boundary of No.21 Bell Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 27m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Bell Street, A1184 London Road, Station Road, Knight Street and Bell Street.

The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH END, ALBURY) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church End, Albury from its junction with Albury Public Footpath No.003 north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Church End, 3U154 (unnamed road), Clapgate, Albury Road, Standon Road, A120 Standon Road, Albury End, Parsonage Lane and Church End.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing hydrant is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FRYARS LANE, HIGH WYCH) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fryars Lane, High Wych from its junction with High Wych Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.012 north eastwards, south eastwards and eastwards to its junction with Wallace Road, a distance of approximately 1382m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Fryars Lane, Actons Lane, Bakers Lane and Wallace Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Watton Road, Datchworth from its junction with Bramfield Road north eastwards to its junction with Hawkins Hall Lane, a distance of approximately 343m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Bramfield Road, Winding Shott, Main Road, Tattle Hill, Bramfield Road, A119 (North Road/High Road/Hertford Road), Ware Road, High Street, Station Road and Watton Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROSEDALE WAY, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rosedale Way, Cheshunt from its junction with the B156 Goffs Lane/B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout northwards to its junction with the Hornbeam Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 218m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B156 (Goffs Lane/Churchgate Road), Andrews Lane and Rosedale Way.

The Order is needed because water service installation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE LAYBY SITUATED ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF PYE CORNER, GILSTON) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the layby situated on the south east side of Pye Corner, Gilston from its southernmost junction with Pye Corner north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 156m (“the Layby”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Layby.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Layby.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KETTLE GREEN LANE, MUCH HADHAM) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kettle Green Lane, Much Hadham from a point 520m north west of its junction with B1004 Widford Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 150m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Kettle Green Lane, B1004 (Widford Road/ Medcalf Hill/High Street/Ware Road/Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street/Wadesmill Road), Cambridge Road, High Road, Ermine Street, Gore Lane, C39 (unnamed road) and Kettle Green Lane or via Kettle Green Lane, B1004 (Widford Road/Medcalf Hill/High Street/Ware Road/ Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street/Wadesmill Road), Cambridge Road, Cold Christmas Lane and Kettle Green Lane.

The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WALKERN ROAD, BENINGTON AND WALKERN ROAD, WATTON AT STONE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Walkern Road, Benington from its junction with Benington Road south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Town Lane, a distance of approximately 2173m.

An alternative route will be via Walkern Road and Church Green.

2. that length of Walkern Road, Watton at Stone from its junction with Benington Road south eastwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 3310m.

An alternative route will be via Church Green, Town Lane, Whempstead Road, A602 Ware Road, Ware Road and High Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF REDRICKS LANE, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Redricks Lane, Sawbridgeworth from a point 113m south west of its junction with Sawbridgeworth Public Footpath No.020 south westwards for a distance of approximately 117m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 10 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bentley Road, Hertford from its junction with Windsor Drive north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Thieves Lane, a distance of approximately 66m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Windsor Drive, B1000 Welwyn Road and Bentley Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN TANNERS WAY, HUNSDON AND BELLAMY ROAD, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of  Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Tanners Way, Hunsdon from its junction with B180 High Street westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Bellamy Road, Cheshunt from its junction with Cadmore Lane south westwards to its junction with Roundmoor Drive, a distance of approximately 305m.

An alternative route will be via Cadmore Lane, B176 (High Street/Turners Hill), Forest Road and Roundmoor Drive.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE A10 NORTHBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING ONTO A10 (UNNAMED ROAD), TURNFORD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A10 northbound slip road leading onto A10 (unnamed road), Turnford from its junction with the A10 Turnford Link Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A10 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 596m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A10 Turnford Link Road, A1170 (High Road/ High Street/Charlton Way/Dinant Link Road) and A10 Hoddesdon Link Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (LORD STREET, HODDESDON) (PROHIBITION OF TURNS) ORDER 2022

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a prohibition of turning movement restrictions on parts of Lord Street, Hoddesdon as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Tuesday 17 October 2023.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (MANOR LINKS, BRAID CLOSE AND VARDON DRIVE, BISHOP’S STORTFORD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2022

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce waiting restrictions in parts of Bishop’s Stortford as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

The Order will come into effect on Monday 6 November 2023.
