(Remote Footway/Cycleway, Scholars Walk, South Woodham Ferrers)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close to all under section S14(1) of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended) the remote footway/cycleway Scholars Walk, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, 20 metres either side of the bridge carrying the railway line.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 12 October for 1 day, between the hours of 12 October 22:30 to 13 October 04:30 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and work force while a detailed structure examination on the over bridge is undertaken.
No suitable alternative route available.
The Order will come into effect on 12 October and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.
(A13 Pitsea Bypass, Pitsea Vange Bypass, Fobbing)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of A13 Pitsea Bypass, Pitsea/Vange Bypass, Fobbing in the Borough of Basildon, from the point where the eastbound on slip from Broadway Link Roundabout is to the Thurrock District Border a distance of approximately 3400m in both directions.
2. To temporarily close the on slip road, from the Broadway Link Roundabout onto the A13 Pitsea Bypass a distance of approximately 240m.
3. To temporarily close the on slip from Five Bells Roundabout North to the A13 Vange Bypass a distance of approximately 330m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 19th October 2023 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2352739 & EP201EH2352818 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Five Bells Roundabout North, Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout, Roundacre New Roundabout, Roundacre, Broadmayne Roundabout, Broadmayne, Mopsies Roundabout, South Mayne, Broadway Link Roundabout, Pitsea Bypass and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hawk Hill, Rettendon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hawk Hill, Rettendon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 100m north west of its junction with Hawk Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KL733WIS-31-36-30102023 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vegetation management works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Hawk Hill, Chelmsford Road, Battlesbridge Bypass, A130 New Bypass Roundabout and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(New Street, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Street, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 60m north of its junction Victoria Road for a distance of approximately 85m in a northerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th November 2023 for 1 night (22:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL721LTN1-29-79-041123 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge repair works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via New Street, Victoria Road, Duke Street, Victoria Road South, Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South, Parkway, Broomfield Road, Rectory Lane, New Street Roundabout, New Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) (No.5) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Chelmsford & District of Maldon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of road specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
3. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of road as specified in the schedule.
“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only.
All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
“The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time” restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only.
All other restrictions and
exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12th October 2023, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public.
Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Warren Road, Rettendon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 845m west then north west of its junction with Chalk Street for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd November 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF2P0D7K01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Warren Road, South Hanningfield Road, Giffords Lane, Chalk Street and vice versa.

(Duke Street, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Duke Street, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Victoria Road South to its junction with Victoria Road a distance of approximately 20m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2023 for 1 night (19:00 - 23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62406156 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replace manhole cover and frame works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South, Parkway, Parkway Roundabout Baddow Road, High Bridge Road, Kings Meadow Roundabout, Springfield Road, Victoria Road and vice versa (with access only into Victoria Road South).

(Hyde Lane, Danbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 225m south east of its junction with Capons Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013306711 – Essex And Suffolk Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road – B1418, Tyndales Lane and vice versa (with access only into Hyde Lane).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Loves Green, Highwood in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Bucknells Mead for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Good Easter in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Tituswell Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.
