What is happening?
Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: C1165 From Mill Lane To Strangwood Farm, Old Colwall, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1165 From Mill Lane To Strangwood Farm, Old Colwall, between Moorcroft Farm and St James' Church. Grid Ret 373314 / 242455 to 373932 / 242339. The alternative routes for those affected by the proposal are: For the closure between Moorcroft Farm to Garden Lodge: via the C1157 onto Raycomb Lane onto Church Lane onto Hollow Lane onto the B4214 onto the B4220 and vice versa as marked on the attached plan with a solid blue line.
For the closure between Garden Lodge to St James' Church: via the C1166 onto the B4218 onto the A449 onto the C1167 as marked on the attached plan with a dashed blue line. The said closure is required due to rural fibre installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 9th of October 2023 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 20 days.
