What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:
A) Footpath 58 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Footpath 58A, Salisbury for a distance of approximately 200m in a southerly direction. B) Footpath 58A, Salisbury; from its junction with Footpath 58, Salisbury for a distance of approximately 120m in a northerly direction to enable water hole trapping and relocation and channel narrowing works with the creation of berms.
Alternative route via St Thomas Square - Silver Street - Minster Street - Castle Street - Mill Stream Approach and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which was due to expire on 30 September 2023 will now continue into force 31 October 2023. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Chapel Lane (Part), Bishopstone; from its property known as The Old Chapel to its property known as Sanclive to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new connection and associated works.
Alternative route via Chapel Lane (unaffected length) - Croucheston - The Drove - Chapel Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 24 October 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 for 4 days. This Order will come into operation on 25 October 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 03 October 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 05 October 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO.32) 2023 (REF TTRO 9007)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway patching, surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 23 October 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 23 October 2023 and 01 December 2023.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The Order, which previously came into operation on 31 July 2023 will now recommence on 04 October 2023. It is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt dressing and associated maintenance works. The Order has a maximum duration period of 18 months. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 04 October 2023 and 31 October 2023. Schedule 1. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, CLARENDON PARK, SALISBURY AND LAVERSTOCK AND FORD) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that on 20 September 2023 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Road, Shady Bower Area, Salisbury) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2016, re-enact it in the above Order and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road: Petersfinger Road, Clarendon Park - the complete length; Bourne Close, Glendale Crescent, Potters Way, Riverbourne Road and St John's Close, Laverstock and Ford - the complete lengths; Milford Mill Road, Laverstock and Ford - from the middle of Milford Bridge to its junction with New Petersfinger Road; Queen Manor Road, Laverstock and Ford - from its junction with Milford Mill Road to its junction with Potters Way; Milford Mill Road, Salisbury - from a point 57 metres east of its junction with Milford Park to the middle of Milford Bridge.
A copy of the Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
The Order will come into operation on 2 October 2023.
