BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL

UPTON ROAD, POOLE - UTILITY WORKS

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHERE & WHAT:

Upton Road from Creekmoor Lane Roundabout to Fleetsbridge Roundabout

- Road closed in an eastbound direction -road closed to all vehicles.

- Pergin Crescent closed at its junction with Upton Road

- Suspension of cycle lanes - both sides of the road

- Various right turn bans from the southern side onto Upton Road

WHEN: Anticipated dates from Monday 23 October up to and including Friday 1 December 2023.

WHY: To facilitate essential gas mains replacement by SGN

ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained.

DIVERSIONS:

- via A35 Upton Road (westbound), onto A350 Upton By-Pass (eastbound), A3049 Dorset Way, to Tower Park Roundabout back onto Dorset Way (westbound) to the Fleetsbridge Roundabout

- remainder of Pergin Crescent, Pergin Way, Hazelbury Road, Creekmoor Lane

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
