What is happening?
Essex County Council
(The Avenue, Hutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date
of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Avenue, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood,
from a point approximately 320m south then southeast of its junction with A128 – Ingrave Road for a
distance of approximately 575m in a southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on
30th October 2023 for 4 nights (19:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2349854 –
Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing
and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while signage replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Hartswood Road, Seven Arches Road, A128 – Ingrave Road and
vice versa (with access only into The Avenue).
The Order will come into effect on 11th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until
the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Costead Manor Road, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date
of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Costead Manor Road, Brentwood in the Borough
of Brentwood, from its junction with Greenshaw for a distance of approximately 370m in a southwesterly
direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2023 for 3 days, or where stated on a
valid permit (EP201EH2348535 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works
with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety
of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Greenshaw, Costead Manor Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until
the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hall Green Lane, Hutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date
of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Green Lane, Hutton in the Borough of
Brentwood, from a point approximately 155m west of its junction with Hutton Village for a distance of
approximately 85m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2023
for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF3J456JA – Openreach). The scheduled dates
may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure
is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Hall Green Lane, Hutton Village, Hutton Drive, Quennell Way, Byron
Road, Kingsley Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 11th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until
the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic &
Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.9) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule
to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides
of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works.
Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will
be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On
Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended
to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend
any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and
exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 11th October 2023, exact
dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and
then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will
be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet
drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Days Lane, Pilgrims Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Days Lane, Pilgrims Hatch in the Borough of
Brentwood, from a point approximately 50m northeast of its junctions with Crow Green Road for a
distance of approximately 95m in a northeasterly then southeasterly direction. The closure is scheduled
to commence on 16th October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001264384 –
Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed
on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe installation
works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Doddinghurst Road, Hatch Road, Crow Green Road and vice versa
(with access only into Days Lane).
The Order came into effect on 27th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until
the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Dudbrook Road, Navestock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dudbrook Road, Navestock in the Borough of
Brentwood, from a point approximately 10m north west from its junction with Howard Lodge Road for
a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence
on 16th October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2040B). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The
closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Section 50 works are undertaken
by Fenton Civil Engineering.
An alternative route is available via Dudbrook Road, Crown Road, Ongar Road, Church Road, Beacon Hill
Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 27th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until
the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
