Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
Amage Road, Wye TN25 5DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Amage Road, Wye, on or after 25th October 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Coldharbour Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wye Road, The Street, New Barn Road, New Barn Hill, Pilgrims Way, Brabourne Road and vice versa.
ASHFORD & DISTRICT 10 & 5 MILE RUN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
Ashford & District 10 & 5 Mile Run 29th October 2023
To allow the Ashford & District 10 & 5 Mile Run to take place on and near the highway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Sandyhurst Lane, Lenacre Street & Westwell Lane near Ashford.
Closures are planned for Sunday 29th October 2023 starting from 09:50 hours onwards, with roads re-opened as soon as it is safe to do so, and by no later 12:30 hours.
Roads will be closed as shown below, to the extent indicated at any time by signs and barriers on site.
SANDYHURST LANE – closed between A251 Faversham Road and Sandyacres Sports Club.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A251 Faversham Road, Trinity Road, Junction 9 Interchange, Fougeres Way, Drovers Roundabout and A20 Maidstone Road.
LENACRE STREET – closed for its entire length.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
WESTWELL LANE – closed between the junctions of Lenacre Street and Pett Lane.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Nothing in the Order will apply to:
• Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.
• Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.
• Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.
Beaver Lane, Ashford TN23 5NX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beaver Lane, Ashford, on or after 23rd October 2023 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 108. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cryol Road, St Stephens Walk, Kingsnorth Road, B2229 Beaver Lane and vice versa.
Church Hill, Bethersden TN26 3AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow road works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Hill, Bethersden, on or after 23rd October 2023 for up to 35 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Chester Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Road, A28 Ashford Road, Forge Hill, The Street and vice versa.
Earlsworth Road, Willesborough TN24 0BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Earlsworth Road, Willesborough, on or after 23rd October 2023 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 10. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Earlsworth Road, Fairview Drive, Canterbury Road, Cudworth Road and vice versa.
Giggers Green Road, Aldington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Giggers Green Road, Aldington, on or after 10th October 2023 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of B2067 Knoll Hill and Lower Wall Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2067 Knoll Hill, B2067 Bonnington Road, Newchurch Road, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road Bilsington And Hony Wood Lane, From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary, From Newchurch Town Boundary To Eastbridge Road and vice versa.
Hampden Lane, Ashford TN23 6JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic & suspend the one-way on part of Hampden Lane, Ashford, on or after 24th October 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 4 Hampden Mews. The one-way Order will be suspended to allow access. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kingsnorth Road, Hampden Road and vice versa.
Mill Lane, Chilham CT4 8BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Lane, Chilham, on or after 23rd October 2023 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:45 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
New Road, Egerton TN27 9DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of New Road, Egerton, on or after 9th October 2023 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Rock Hill Road and Egerton Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Rock Hill Road, Mundy Bois Road, C86 Mundy Bois Road Junction With C146 Pinnock Road To Junction With Green Hill Lane, The Pinnock, Smarden Road, Forge Hill, Egerton Road and vice versa.
Priory Way, Tenterden TN30 7BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Priory Way, Tenterden, on or after 9th October 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 44 to number 45, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
The Street, Brook TN25 5PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2023
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Brook, on or after 10th October 2023 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Amage Road and Spelders Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Amage Road, Coldharbour Lane, Scotton Street, Upper Bridge Street, Oxenturn Road, Naccolt Road, Spelders Hill and vice versa.
