What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: NORTH ACTON ROAD, WESLEY AVENUE, HAROLD ROAD & MINERVA ROAD, PARK ROYAL.

Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4013 North Acton Road & Wesley Avenue, Harold Road & Minerva Road, Park Royal - 2023.

Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve JSM Construction laying new cables in North Acton Road, Wesley Avenue, Harold Road & Minerva Road under 3 phases of work as illustrated in the ‘effect of order’.

Effect of order
1. North Acton Road, Wesley Avenue, Harold Road & Minerva Road will be closed with the following phases.

• Phase 1 North Acton Road at its junctions with Wesley Avenue & entrance to Wesley Playing Fields will be closed from 23rd to 30th October 2023.

• Phase 2 North Acton Road & Minerva Road will be closed from 27th October to 22nd November 2023.

• Phase 3 North Acton Road & Minerva Road from the junction with Harold Road to Minerva Road to a point where it abuts with Chase Road will be closed from 16th November 2023 until 26th January 2024.

2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 23rd October 2023.

(a) No entry into the fully closed section(s) of North Acton Road, Wesley Avenue, Harold Road & Minerva Road.
(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed sections.

3. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

4. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.

5. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.

Date order will come into force. 23rd October 2023

Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 22nd April 2025, or upon completion of works which is expected to be 16th January 2024 - whichever is sooner. All dates are subject to weather and are indicative.
