A611 Derby Road - Road Closure to Install a New Cycle Scheme

PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2023 (M23-099)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, in
respect of roads at Mansfield
in the District of Mansfield
and Kirkby in Ashfield in
the District of Ashfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the
following lengths of road:
 A611 Derby Road,
Mansfield - from its junction
with A60 Nottingham Road
in a south-westerly direction
for a distance of 445 metres
 A611 Derby Road, Kirkby
in Ashfield - from a point
445 metres south-west
of its junction with A60
Nottingham Road in a
south-westerly direction for
a distance of 223 metres
2. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
3. The restriction specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting
the above roads will
apply as follows:
From 20:00 on Monday 2nd
October 2023
until 06:00 on Saturday
7th October 2023
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that
during the periods of
restriction the alternative
routes available will be:
A60 Nottingham Road - A38
Sutton Road - A38 Kings
Mill Road East (Sutton in
Ashfield) - B6139 Coxmoor
Road and vice-versa
The Order will come into force
on 2nd October 2023 and any
prohibition in it shall apply on
that day and any subsequent
day when necessary to
enable works to be carried
out. The Order shall continue
in force until the works are
completed (within a maximum
period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to
enable Via East Midlands to
install a new cycle scheme.
