INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Slopping. Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No.22) Order 2023

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.22) Order 2023

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council, on 18 September 2023, made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:

a) To introduce "at any time" double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

b) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 25 September 2023, and of all associated Orders can be inspected by appointment with the Parking Design Team from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the "Access Croydon" Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design).

4. Alternatively, copies of the Orders can be requested via email or post from the Parking Design Team. Email: parking.design@croydon.gov.uk. Postal address: Parking Design Team, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE

(Introducing double yellow line waiting restrictions "at any time") Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood

  • The north-east side, from its junction with Grange Road for 10 metres north-westwards.
  • The south-west side, from its junction with Grange Road for 5 metres north-westwards.

Colliers Water Lane, Thornton Heath

The north side, from a point 7 metres west to a point 5 metres east of its junction with Maplethorpe Road.

Grange Road, Upper Norwood

The north-west side, from a point 5 metres north-east of its junction with Beauchamp Road to a point 15 metres south-west of its junction with Beauchamp Road.

Hayes Lane, Kenley

The south-east side, for 10 metres either side of its junction with Wheat Knoll.

Hillside Avenue, Purley

  • The north-west side, from its junction with Purley Vale for 5 metres south-westwards.
  • The south-east side, from its junction with Purley Vale for 6.7 metres south-westwards.

Maplethorpe Road, Thornton Heath

Both sides, from its junction with Colliers Water Lane for 7 metres north-westwards.

Menlo Gardens, Upper Norwood

The north-east and south-east side (adjacent to Nos. 1 to 73 Menlo Gardens) from a point 33 metres south-west of its junction with Beulah Hill to the entrance to the car parking area at the south-eastern end of Menlo Gardens.

Purley Vale, Purley

The south-west side, for 5 metres either side of its junction with Hillside Avenue.

Wheat Knoll, Kenley

Both sides from its junction with Hayes Lane for 10 metres south-eastwards.

DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - SCHEDULE 225 DAVIDSON ROAD, CROYDON

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping. Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No.20) Order 2023 The Croydon (On-Street Charged- For Parking Places) (No.20) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 18 September 2023 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders will be to designate a new parking place at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following location.

Davidson Outside No. 256 and partially across the frontage Road, Croydon of No. 254 (replaces one partial footway permit/ payment space)

2. Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 25 September 2023 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 18 September 2023 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS MERSHAM ROAD, THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate Openreach works to an underground structure, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit parking in Mersham Road, Thornton Heath.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, parking will be suspended on both sides of Mersham Road outside Nos. 121 to 143 and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

3. The Order will come into operation on 26 September 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 29 September 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(b) any vehicle being used to carry out the said works.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS PRICE ROAD, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate joint box installation works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Price Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the carriageway will be closed outside No. 5 Price Road.

3. During the closure the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Violet Lane, Denning Avenue, Hillside Road and vice versa. Access for residents will be maintained by Traffic Management Officers on site.

4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

5. The Order will come into operation on 28 September 2023, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such extents as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

CROHAM VALLEY ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to a water service pipe by Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Croham Valley Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Croham Valley Road:

a) The carriageway will be closed outside No. 75 Croham Valley Road.

b) The north-eastern footway will be closed outside No. 75 Croham Valley Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be via Farley Road, Little Heath Road, Foxearth Road, Addington Road, Selsdon Park Road, Gravel Hill, Ballards Way, Crest Road and Croham Valley Road, or via Croham Valley Road, Ballards Way and Crest Road. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 09 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BANSTEAD ROAD, PURLEY TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new gas main by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Banstead Road, Purley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Banstead Road will be closed in two phases as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. Whilst the closure is in force, the diversion route for traffic will be via Purley Way, Croydon Road, Manor Road, Woodcote Road, as appropriately sign-posted.

4. The Order will come into operation on 23 September 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 01 October 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
