Pleasley Hill Way - Prohibition Of Driving For Refresh Road Markings

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A617 PLEASLEY HILL WAY, MANSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2023 (M23 100)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield in the District of Mansfield.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following lengths of road:

a) A617 Pleasley Hill Way - from its junction with Abbott Road to its junction with Chesterfield Road North

b) Penniment Lane service road - from its junction with A617 Pleasley Hill Way in a north- westerly direction for a distance of 45 metres to its junction with Penniment Lane

c) Water Lane - from its junction with A617 Pleasley Hill Way in an easterly direction to its junction with Kingfisher Road

d) Water Lane - from its junction with A617 Pleasley Hill Way in a westerly and north-westerly direction for a distance of 110 metres

e) Hillmoor Street - from its junction with A617 Pleasle Hill Way in a westerly and northerly direction for a distance of 140 metres

f) New England Way - from its junction with A617 Pleasley Hill Way in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 70 metres

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restriction specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above roads will apply as follows: From 19:00 on Monday 2nd October 2023 until 04:00 on Saturday 7th October 2023

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the periods of restriction the alternative routes available will be: A6075 Abbott Road - A6191 Chesterfield Road North and vice versa

The Order will come into force on 2nd October 2023 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to refresh road markings and cats eyes.
