(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2023 (G23-125)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not
less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, in respect
of roads at Carlton in the
Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the
following length of road:
a. B686 Burton Road - from
a point 30 metres west of its
junction with Gedling Road to
a point 30 metres east of its
junction with Gedling Road.
b. Manor Road - from its
junction with B686 Burton
Road to its junction with Manor
Crescent
c. Gedling Road - from its
junction with B686 Burton Road
to its junction with Redland
Grove.
2. Vehicles are prohibited
from waiting, loading and
unloading in the following
length of road:-
a. B686 Burton Road (Both
sides, 19:00-05:00) - from
a point 30 metres west of its
junction with Gedling Road to
a point 30 metres east of its
junction with Gedling Road.
b. Manor Road (Both sides,
19:00-05:00) - from its junction
with B686 Burton Road to its
junction with Manor Crescent
c. Gedling Road (Both sides,
19:00-05:00) - from its junction
with B686 Burton Road to its
junction with Redland Grove.
3. The existing No Right Turn
Traffic Regulation Order in
the following length of road
will be temporarily suspended,
meaning that traffic may flow
for the purpose of accessing
Gedling Road:
a. Orlando Drive - into Gedling
Road.
1. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
2. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will apply
as follows:
From 19:00 hours on Monday
9th October 2023
Until 05:00 hours on
Thursday 12th October 2023
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the
alternative route available
will be:
- North/South bound traffic
- Gedling Road, Main Road,
Shearing Hill, Burton Road,
B686 Colwick Loop Road,
A6211 Colwick Loop Road,
A612 Colwick Loop Road,
Road No 1, Chaworth Road,
Meadow Road, Victoria Road,
Station Road (&vice-versa)
- East/West bound traffic -
B686 Burton Road, Station
Road, Victoria Road, Meadow
Road, Chaworth road, Road No
1, A612 Colwick Loop Road,
A6211 Colwick Loop Road,
B686 Colwick Loop Road, B686
Burton Road (& vice-versa).
The Order will come into force
on Monday 9th October
2023 and any prohibition in
it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order
shall continue in force until the
works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Via East Midlands
to carry out carriageway
resurfacing;
