What is happening?

The Isle of Wight Council (Mayfield Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2023

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 27 September 2023 and Friday 29 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Mayfield Road for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage survey works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Hollow Lane, Godshlll, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2023

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 27 September 2023 and Friday 29 September 2023, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Hollow Lane for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 22 September 2023 and Friday 3 November 2023 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for approximately one to 15 shifts during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of carriageway maintenance works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:

The Isle of Wight Council (The Mall, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2023 - The Mall will be closed between its junctions with Hornsey Rise and Bullys Hill. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Forest Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2023 - Forest Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works and any associated utility works.
