What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA), (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016) AMENDMENT NUMBER 4  ORDER 2023 FLANSHAW LANE, HARRAP STREET, OAKES STREET  AND EAGLE GROVE, WAKEFIELD

The Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order, the effect of which in relation to Flanshaw Lane, Harrap Street, Oakes Street and Eagle Grove, Wakefield, is to vary the Council of the City of Wakefield (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions And Street Parking Places) (Consolidation Order 2016) by introducing:

• No Waiting at Any Time restriction on Flanshaw Lane.

• No Waiting Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 6pm along part of Flanshaw Lane

• Permit Holders Only along part of Flanshaw Lane

• Permit Holders Only on Harrap Street, Oakes Street and Eagle Grove.

• Limited Waiting restriction length between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (inclusive), 1 Hour Maximum Stay, No Return Within 2 Hours along part of Flanshaw Lane.

The order comes into force on the 2nd October 2023. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website ww.wakefield.gov.uk/tro.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (ie. 25th September 2023) apply to the High Court for this purpose.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER NO 1, 2023 HUNTWICK WITH FOULBY AND NOSTELL NO.1  AND HEMSWORTH NO.4 FOOTPATHS

On 25th September 2023 the Council of the City of Wakefield confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath 0.9 m wide shown by a bold solid line on the plan annexed hereto commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point A on the map, Grid Reference SE 3982 1586 and proceeding in a northerly direction for 327 metres to Point B on the map, Grid Reference SE 3983 1619 to a public footpath 2.0 metres wide shown by a dashed line on the plan annexed hereto. Commencing at its junction with the existing path at Point A on the map, Grid Reference SE 3982 1586, proceeding in a north westerly direction for 220 metres to Point C on the map, Grid Reference SE 3975 1607. Then, in a north easterly direction for 142 metres to Point B on the map, Grid Reference SE 3983 1619.

The order will also modify the Council of the City of Wakefield Definitive Map and Statement by deleting from it the path or way referred to in Paragraph 1 of the order and the definitive statement shall be modified as described in Part 3 of the Schedule to the order.

The Order comes into force on 25th September 2023 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, has not been complied with in relation to the Order he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 25th September 2023 make an application to the High Court.
