Swires Road, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Telecommunication Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL SWIRES ROAD, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works proposed to be executed on or near Swires Road, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Swires Road from its junction with Pollard Lane to a point outside No. 4 Swires Road.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Swires Road (unaffected section), Killinghall Drive, Killinghall Road, Pollard Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 09:00 hours on the 2nd October 2023 and remain in force until 16:00 hours on the 4th October 2023 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
