(CORSTORPHINE CONNECTIONS) (TEMPORARY ROAD

RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) 

ORDER 2023 – TEMP/23/224

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate active travel streetscape improvement works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the sections of roads described in Sch 1; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of the sections of roads described in Sch 2. The Order shall have effect from 2/10/23 to 30/11/23. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (i) Roull Rd – Saughton Rd Nth & Castle Ave; (ii) Broomfield Cres – Saughton Rd Nth & Broomfield Cres (southernmost jnct); (iii) Dovecot Rd – Ladywell Ave, Castle Ave & Saughton Rd Nth; (iv) Featherhall Ter: (1) westbound – Manse Rd, St John’s Rd & Featherhall Ave; & (2) eastbound – Featherhall Ave, Corstorphine High St & Manse Rd; (v) Featherhall Rd – Manse St, Manse Rd, St John’s Rd & Featherhall Ave; (vi) Manse St: (1) westbound – Manse Rd, Featherhall Ter & Featherhall Rd; & (2) eastbound – Featherhall Ave, Featherhall Ter & Featherhall Rd; (vii) Tyler’s Acre Rd: (1) nthbound – Lampacre Rd & Tyler’s Acre Ave; & (2) sthbound – Meadowhouse Rd & Saughton Rd Nth; & (viii) Tyler’s Acre Gdns: (1) nthbound – Lampacre Rd, Tyler’s Acre Ave & Tyler’s Acre Rd; & (2) sthbound – Meadowhouse Rd, Saughton Rd Nth & Tyler’s Acre Rd. The following restriction will be suspended: bus lane on Manse Rd, to facilitate the works. Existing restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in Sch 2. SCHEDULE 1 ROAD CLOSURES: (i) Roull Rd, from 71m south-west of the western kerbline of Saughton Rd Nth, northeastwards to 9m west of the eastern kerbline of Saughton Rd Nth; (ii) Broomfield Cres (northernmost jnct), from 55m south-west of the south-western kerbline of Saughton Rd Nth, north-eastwards to 9m south-west of the north-eastern kerbline of Saughton Rd Nth; (iii) Dovecot Rd, from 7m northeast of the western kerbline of Ladywell Ave, north-eastwards to 315m south-west of the western kerbline of Saughton Rd Nth; (iv) Featherhall Ter, from 9m east of the western kerbline of Featherhall Ave, eastwards to 31m west of the western kerbline of Featherhall Pl; (v) Featherhall Rd, from 6m south of the northern kerbline of Featherhall Ter, southwards to 16m south of the southern kerbline of Featherhall Ter; (vi) Manse St, from 3m west of the eastern kerbline of Manse Rd, eastwards to 29m west of the western kerbline of Featherhall Rd; (vii) Tyler’s Acre Rd, from 238m east of the eastern kerbline of Saughton Rd Nth, eastwards to 6m west of the eastern kerbline of Lampacre Rd; & (viii) Tyler’s Acre Gdns, from 6m west of the eastern kerbline of Lampacre Rd, westwards to 30m west of the eastern kerbline of Lampacre Rd.
