What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Ansty Coombe Lane (Part), Ansty; from its junction with Kings Lane to its property known as Peartree Cottage to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works. Alternative route via Ansty Coombe Lane (unaffected length) - A30 north west to Ansty Coombe Lane - A30 - C25 - Ansty Coombe Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 12:30 for 1 day. B) Ashley Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Coldharbour Lane for a distance of approximately 200m in a north easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out installation of 33kV cables and associated works. Alternative route via Ashley Road (unaffected length) - Butts Road - A345 - Stratford Road - Camp Hill - A360 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 and the closure will be required until 19 November 2023. C) The Packway (Part), Durrington; from its junction with B3086 to its junction with Glover Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, patching works, road markings, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. Alternative route via The Packway (unaffected length) - A345 -A303 - A360 - B3086 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 25 October 2023. D) B3080 (Part), Downton; from its junction with The Sidings to outside its property known as Hill House to enable BT to carry out access to equipment in the carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via B3080 (unaffected length) - B3078 - A338 - B3080 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 September 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 29 September 2023. E) Luke Street (Part), Berwick St John; from its property known as Upton Farm to its property known as Dairy House Farm to enable Wessex Water to carry out the installation of a new 110mm UPVC gravity sewer main. Alternative route via Water Lane - Church Street - Back Lane - Luke Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 September 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 1 day. Alternative route via B3083 (unaffected length) - A303 - A360 - B3083 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 September 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. H) Millstream Approach (Part), Salisbury; from its roundabout junction with Long Stay Central for a distance of approximately 40m in an easterly direction to enable Kier Ltd to carry out improvements to Millstream Approach Bridge and associated maintenance works. Alternative route Castle Street - A36 - Central Car Park Access Road and vice versa. The works which were scheduled to finish on 29 September 2023 will now continue in force until 31 March 2024. I) Parkwater Road (Part), Whiteparish; from its northern junction with Parkwater Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out tree cutting and associated works. Alternative route via Parkwater Road (unaffected length) - Common Road - A27 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 September 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 2 days. J) C62 (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its junction with C311 to outside its property known as Autumn Mead to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 27 September 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 12:00 for 1 day. K) Greencroft Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Salt Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via Greencroft Street (unaffected length) - Winchester Street -St Edmunds Church Street - Salt Lane and vice versa. This Order

L) B3083 (Part), Shrewton; from its junction with The Common to its junction with Rollestone Road to enable Openreach to carry out access to underground structure, cabling for new customer connection and associated works. Alternative route via B3083 (unaffected length) - A360 - A303 - B3083 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 02 May 2023 will now recommence on 25 September 2023 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. Orders A) to K) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order L) has a maximum duration of 18 months.
The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

East Gomeldon Road (Part), Idmiston; from its junction with Gomeldon Road to its junction with East Gomeldon Road. And to temporarily suspend the existing One Way Order on East Gomeldon Road, Idmiston to facilitate a diversion for traffic to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out a road crossing, trench in footway for new electricity connection and other associated works. Alternative route via Gomeldon Road - Winterslow Road - A338 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 19 October 2023 and the closure will be required until 29 October 2023. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL LANDFORD 5 (PART), 11 (PART) AND 28 (PART),
DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023
On 12 September 2023, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed will divert Footpaths Landford 5, 11 and 28 over the land situate at Landford Lodge, Hamptworth Road, Hamptworth in the parish of Landford. Landford 5 leading from OS Grid Reference SU 2437-1964 in a broadly north easterly direction for approximately 118 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2446-1971, continuing in a north easterly direction for approximately 456 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2480-2000, to a new route at OS Grid Reference SU 2448-1988, in a generally, east south easterly direction for approximately 281 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2474-1982 then in a northerly direction for approximately 119 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2480-1992, having a width of 2 metres. Landford 11 leading from OS Grid Reference SU 2448-1988 in a broadly southerly direction for approximately 175 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2446-1971, to a new route at OS Grid Reference SU 2448-1988, in a generally south south westerly direction for approximately 282 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2437-1964, having a width of 3 metres. Landford 28 leading from OS Grid Reference SU 2487-1962 in a broadly north north west and north north easterly direction for approximately 315 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2480-1992, to a new route at OS Grid Reference SU 2487-1962, in a generally westerly, then northerly direction for approximately 361 metres to OS Grid Reference SU 2474-1982, having a width of 2 metres.And thereupon the Salisbury and Wilton Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1953 shall be modified accordingly.
