THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
Walton Lane (D3875) Weybridge Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023
On 27 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) the northern arm of Walton Lane (D3875) Weybridge as extends from its junction with the access to “Weybridge Rifle and Pistol Club” to its junction with the southern arm of (D3875) Walton Lane; and b) Suspend “The Borough of Elmbridge (Desborough Channel Bridges, Walton Lane Weybridge) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1994 in its entirety and Suspend any other Order that imposes a One-Way system of Traffic on the northern arm of (D3875) Walton Lane Weybridge. Alternative Route: Walton Lane. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times via the operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Croft Road (D5427) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2023
On 27 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Croft Road (D5427) Godalming; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council D5427 Croft Road Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2022” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (B2130) Brighton Road, (A3100) Flambard Way, and Holloway Hill or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate access to telegraph pole and overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Brook Hill (D194) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 27 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Hill (D194) Albury which extends from a point 80m south of its junction with Brook Lane to the southern property boundary of Southside Cottage; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall and Brook Hill (D194) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022” insofar as it relates to the length of Brook Hill as specified above only. This Order is required to enable BT/Openreach to carry out ducting works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, and the suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – August Lane, Farley Heath Road, Woodhill Lane, Cranleigh Road, Wondersh Common, New Road, Dorking Road, Chilworth Road, Albury Street, Sherbourne and New Road.
Potters Lane (D233) Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 27 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Potters Lane (D233) Send which extends from its junction with the outside of the property “Hillrising 115 Potters Lane” to approximately 63m Southwards.
The effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Potters Lane (D233), Send. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Potters Lane (D233), Send Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022” in its entirety.
Alternative Route – Send Road (A247) and Send Hill (D232) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water connections which is anticipated to be completed within 7 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained with in the closure.
Various Roads in The Borough of Guildford (Guildford 10k Event) (Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2023
On 27 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles and persons riding, leading or driving horses or any other animals from entering or proceeding along those lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice, or any parts thereof. The Order will come into effect on 7 October 2023, for a period of two days and is required to facilitate the holding of an event on the highway, namely the Guildford 10k running event. The temporary closure will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event, or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey Police. Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic. The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, vehicular access to premises situated in the aforesaid lengths of roads, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted, save as indicated above.
The prohibition will only be operative while the relevant signs are displayed, though it is anticipated that the closure will only take effect between 7am and 9.30am on 8 October, save that High Street between Quarry Street and North Street will be closed from 6pm on 7 October until 10am on 8 October. The existing prohibition of traffic in the said length of High Street and the oneway driving restriction in Market Street, imposed by The County Council of Surrey (Guildford) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1987 (as amended) will be suspended whilst this Order operates. Access for pedestrians will be unaffected. The Council are also satisfied that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Traffic will be diverted via the A247 and the A3.

(2) Epsom Road (A246/A25) Guildford/West Clandon, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Shere Road (A25).
North Road (D3850) Hersham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of North Road (D3850) Hersham as extends from its junction with (D3898) Queens Road north-westwards for a distance of approximately 50 metres. There is no alternative route for this closure. The Order is required to allow telecoms utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 23 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, businesses, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
D6824 Langbourne Way, Claygate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6824 Langbourne Way, Claygate that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D6824 Denman Drive, to the southern end of D6824 Langbourne Way. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors to carry out sewer cover replacement and/or maintenance works outside “No.13 Langbourne Way”, on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10am and 3pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable diversion route however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
B364 Embercourt Road and D6966 Weston Green Road, Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- a) B364 Embercourt Road, Thames Ditton that is crossed by the “Thames Ditton Railway North” bridge, and for a distance of 10m either side. b) D6966 Weston Green Road, Thames Ditton that is crossed by the “Thames Ditton Railway South” bridge, and for a distance of 10m either side. This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out examinations and/or maintenance and/or improvement works to the railway bridge. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5am, within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of marshals. Alternative route:- Station Road, Watts Road, Giggs Hill Road, Portsmouth Road, Hampton Court Way and Embercourt Road.
D3234 Kenilworth Road, Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3234 Kenilworth Road, Ashford that extends from its junction with D3234 Ashford Crescent, to its junction with D3236 Avondale Road. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Spelthorne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as affects the length of D3234 Kenilworth Road, Ashford described in Part 1. to this Notice. This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out water works in D3234 Kenilworth Road from the western side of its junction with Ashcombe Close, to the north-eastern property boundary of “No.14 Kenilworth Road”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Avondale Road, Cumberland Road and Ashford Crescent.
More Lane (D6898) and Mill Road (D6900) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) More Lane (D6898) Esher as extends from its junction with the northern arm of (D6899) Lower Green Road to its junction with (D6900) Mill Road; and (b) Mill Road (D6900) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6898) More Lane to its junction with (D6900) Farm Road; and (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Mill Road (D6900) and More Lane (D6898) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2022 in its entirety. Alternative Route: More Lane, Lower Green Road, Woodend, The Woodlands, Douglas Road, and Farm Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out new water connection works by, or on behalf of Morrison Utility Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between 8am and 5pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, and residents will be maintained at all times via road plates. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Various Roads in Elmbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Holtwood Road (D6860) Oxshott & Sheath Lane (D6860) Oxshott Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that lengths of roads specified in parts (b) and (c) of the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 weeks between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday only, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 October 2023. The works will be carried out in 2 phases.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

(a) that length of Steels Lane (D6861) Oxshott as extends from its junction with (D6861) The Green to its junction with (X9754) Lavender Gate.
(b) that length of Sheath Lane (D6860) Oxshott as extends from its junction with (D6861) Steels Lane to its junction with (X16048) Pond Piece.
(c) that length of Holtwood Road (D6860) Oxshott as extends from its junction with (D6860) Sheath Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “Oxshott Village Centre”.
(d) that length of Oakshade Road (D6862) Oxshott as extends from its junction with (D6861) Steels Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “St Andrews Church”.
Alternative Route is the same for all closures: Steels Lane, Blundel Lane, (A245) Stoke Road, (A245) Woodlands Lane, Oaklawn Road, and (A244) Leatherhead Road or this route in reverse.
Woodthorpe Road (C240) Ashford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodthorpe Road (C240) Ashford as extends from its junction with (C241) Stanwell Road to its junction with (D3246) Clarendon Road. Alternative Route: Stanwell Road, (B377) Fordbridge Road, (B378) Church Road, Station Road, and Woodthorpe Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Hawthorn Road (D5425) and Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Hawthorn Road (D5425) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5425) Primrose Ridge to its junction with (D5425) Ockford Ridge; and (b) Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5425) Hawthorn Road to its junction with (D5425) Coopers Rise. Alternative Route: Ockford Ridge, Milton Crescent, and Primrose Ridge, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new sewer connection works for, or on behalf of Thakeham Partnerships Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Mannings Hill (D191) and Smithwood Common Road (D191) Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (i) Mannings Hill (D191) Cranleigh; and (ii) that length of Smithwood common Road as extends from its junction with (D191) Mannings Hill to its junction with (D194) Winterfold Road. Alternative Route: Smithwood Common Road, (B2128) Guildford Road, The Common, and Horseshoe Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 months between the hours of 7.30am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 October 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
Hook Lane (D222), Shere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hook Lane (D222), Shere which extends from the junction with the access road leading to the property known as Beverly Fields to its junction with the access road leading to the property known as Vachery Cottage.
Alternative Route – Hook Lane (D222), Hound House Road (C46), Mill Hollow (C46) and Lawbrook Lane (D227) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Thames Water to carry out new domestic water connections which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 9:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 October 2023. The closure is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises and emergency vehicles will be maintained within the affected length of road.
