Tonbridge and Malling, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING ARA

Castle Street & Bank Street, Tonbridge.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Castle Street & Bank Street, Tonbridge, on or after 21st October 2023, with estimated completion by 2nd December 2023, or until the works have been completed.

Extended working hours and weekend working will take place:-

Monday to Friday – 07:00 hours to 19:00 hours

Saturday – 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours

Sunday – 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours

Castle Street will be closed from the junction with High Street to the junction with Bank Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Bank Street will be closed from the junction with Castle Street to the junction with High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

These works are in conjunction with multi-way traffic lights on High Street which will be manually controlled between the hours of 07.00 and 19.00.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Slade, Annison Street, Lansdowne Road, High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cemetery Lane, Hadlow.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cemetery Lane, Hadlow, on or after 16th October 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Court Lane to the juncton with A26 Hadlow Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Cemetery Lane, A26 Hadlow Road, Court Lane and vice versa.

 

High Street, Snodland.​ ME6 5AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow level crossing inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Snodland, on or after 21st October 2023, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 23.30 and 04.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

High Street, West Malling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow the West Malling Farmers Market to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, West Malling.

High Street will be closed between the junctions with Swan Street and Water Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The road will be closed between the hours of 06:00 and 15:00 only, on the dates listed below.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via St Leonard’s Street, King Hill, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road and Town Hill.

 

Kiln Barn Road, Ditton.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kiln Barn Road, Ditton, on or after 21st October 2023, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the site entrance to Ragstone Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Kiln Barn Road, Easterfields, Sweets Lane, Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, New Road, A20 London Road, New Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lower Haysden Lane, Tonbridge.​ TN9 2QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow Section 278 works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Haysden Lane, Tonbridge, on or after 16th October 2023, with estimated completion by 14th February 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Upper Haysden Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Lower Haysden Lane, Upper Haysden Lane and vice versa.

 

Oldbury Lane, Ightham.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Oldbury Lane, Ightham, on or after 7th October 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Sevenoaks Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Spring Lane, A25 Sevenoaks Road and vice versa.

 

Rochester Road, Burham.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Burham, on or after 21st October 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Kooland, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, Forstal Road, Station Road, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Castle Way, A228 Snodland Bypass, A228 Holborough Road, Peters Bridge, Village Road, New Court Road, Rochester Road and vice versa.

 

St Vincents Lane, Addington.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of St Vincents Lane, Addington, on or after 2nd October 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Westfields Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A20 London Road, Trottiscliffe Road, Park Road, St Vincents Lane and vice versa.
