Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

Buckland Road, Maidstone.​ (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow a school open evening event to take place at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting parking on the East side of Buckland Road, Maidstone on the following dates:-

From 3rd October 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 18.30 and 22.00

From 16th November 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 18.30 and 22.00

The parking suspension will be in place from Buckland Hill to Maidstone Grammar School for Girls, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

East Sutton Road, Headcorn.​ ME17 3DY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of East Sutton Road, Headcorn, on or after 16th October 2023, for up to 3 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Maidstone Road to the junction with Stickfast Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street, Charlton Lane, East Sutton Road and vice versa.

 

Gabriels Hill, Maidstone. ME14 1SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow duct installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Gabriels Hill, Maidstone, on or after 21st October 2023, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Gabriels Hill, Lower Stone Street, A249, King Street, Gabriels Hill and vice versa.

 

High Street, Maidstone. ME14 1SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow crane works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of High Street, Maidstone, on 8th October 2023 and 20th October 2023, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Muggleton Inn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Wyke Manor Road, Church Street, Union Street, Wheeler Street, Lower Boxley Road, Staceys Street, Fairmeadow, Bishops Way, A249 Palace Avenue, King Street and vice versa.

 

Pye Corner, Ulcombe.​ ME17 1HD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Pye Corner, Ulcombe, on or after 16th October 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Headcorn Road and Eastwood Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pye Corner, Headcorn Road, Eastwood Road and vice versa.

 

Randall Street, Maidstone.​ ME14 2SY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Randall Street, Maidstone, on or after 2nd October 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 20, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Randall Street, Alexandra Street, Hope Street, Scott Street and vice versa.

 

Running Horse Roundabout, Maidstone.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow resurfacing, lining and signing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Running Horse Roundabout, Maidstone, on or after 21st October 2023, for up to 15 days, between the hours of 19.00 and 07.00, or until the works have been completed.

Running Horse Roundabout will be closed, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Parking will be prohibited on Rochester Road, Pratling Street and Beddow Way to facilitate the diversion route.

Stede Hill, Harrietsham.​ ME17 1NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stede Hill, Harrietsham, on or after 3rd October 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Northgate Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Stede Hill, Hogbarn Lane, Syndale Bottom Road, Endings Wood Road, Old Lenham Road, Faversham Road, Woodside Green, Faversham Road, Ashford Road, Church Road, Stede Hill and vice versa.

 

South Green Lane, Stockbury.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of South Green Lane, Stockbury, on or after 16th October 2023, for up to 5 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Hilltop, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via South Green Lane, A249 Sittingbourne Road, Rumstead Lane, Rumstead Road, South Lees Lane.

 

Upper Fant Road, Maidstone.​ ME16 8DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Upper Fant Road, Maidstone, on or after 19th October 2023, for up to 14 days, between the hours of 19.00 and 03.00, or until the works have been completed.

Upper Fant Road will be closed between Bower Lane and Hackney Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Hackney Road will be closed between Milton Street and Upper Fant Road.

Pope Street will be closed between between Milton Street and Upper Fant Road.

Charlton Street will be closed between Milton Street and Upper Fant Road.

Lower Fant Road will be closed between Roseholme and Upper Fant Road.

St Michael’s Road will be closed between A26 Tonbridge Road and Upper Fant Road.

The One-Way Orders on Whitmore Street, Charlton Street, Dover Street, Pope Street & Lower Fant Road between Roseholme and Bower Lane, will be temporary suspended.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Tonbridge Road, Fant Lane and Hackney Road.

 

Wat Tyler Way, Maidstone.​ ME14 1HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wat Tyler Way, Maidstone, on or after 20th October 2023, for up to 11 days, between the hours of 20.00 and 06.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Ashford Road and Romney Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Both sides of the road will not be closed at the same time.

The alternative route for any through traffic is:-

South – A249 Wat Tyler Way, Mote Road, Square Hill Road and A20 Ashford Road.

North – A20 Ashford Road, Square Hill Road, Mote Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way.

 

West Street, Hunton.​ ME15 0SJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of West Street, Hunton, on or after 4th October 2023, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with Bishop’s Lane and the junction with Bensted Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via West Street, Vicarage Road, Yalding Hill, Lughorse Lane, West Lane and vice versa.
