X12661 Wheat Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic to Allow Carriageway Resurfacing Works
What is happening?

(X12661 WHEAT LANE, LATHOM, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of X12661 Wheat Lane, Lathom from U471 Carr Lane, Lathom to the property Glovers Bridge Cottage.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily between 0800 hours and 1800 hours from Thursday 19th October 2023 until Wednesday 25th October 2023 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- U471 Carr Lane, Lathom – C164 Ring O Bells Lane, Lathom – A5209 Briars Lane, Lathom – A5209 Briars Lane, Burscough and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out by Lancashire County Council.
