What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (LORD STREET, ST PETERSGATE & HIGH STREET, STOCKPORT) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING BY MOTORISED VEHICLES) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (REVOCATION) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 the effect of which will be to introduce PROHIBITION OF DRIVING BY MOTORISED VEHICLES (EXCEPT BY EMERGENCY SERVICES VEHICLES) Lord Street Both directions From its intersection with the south eastern kerbline of Wellington Street in a south easterly direction for a distance of 9 metres. Both directions From its intersection with the southern kerbline of Duke Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 25 metres.
PROHIBITION OF DRIVING MOTOR VEHICLES (EXCEPT FOR BUSES, CYCLES AND LOADING BY GOODS VEHICLES) St Petersgate From its junction with St Petersgate Square to its junction with Duke Street in a south westerly direction.
PROHIBITION OF DRIVING BY MOTORISED VEHICLES ON A CONTRAFLOW CYCLE LANE 2M WIDE St Petersgate From its junction with High Street to its junction with St Peters Square in a south westerly direction.
ONE WAY TRAFFIC ORDER St Petersgate From its junction with St Peters Square to its junction with High Street in a north easterly direction. High Street From its junction with St Petersgate to its junction with Lower Hillgate in a south easterly direction.
REVOCATION OF THE COUNTY BOROUGH OF STOCKPORT (ST. PETERSGATE AND HIGH STREET) (ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 1972 (No.172) Revocation of One Way Traffic, St Petersgate, between its junction with St. Petersgate Square and High Street north easterly direction. High Street, between its junction with St. Petersgate and the limit of the existing one-way section near the junction with Lower Hillgate south easterly direction.
