Swann Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Undertake Works to Disconnect an Old Lead Supply
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (SWANN LANE, CHEADLE HULME) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to introduce a Temporary Prohibition Driving at Swann Lane from the junction of Penn Green in an easterly direction for approx 45m whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road.
This Order is necessary to undertake works to disconnect an old lead supply. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 3 days. There will be an exemption for pedestrians. An alternative route will be provided via :-Swann Grove and Hilltop Avenue and vice versa.
This Order came into operation on the 22 September 2023 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: ZLA/3100.
