Blaenau Gwent - Road Closure to Ensure Public Safety While the Works Are in Place

COUNTY BOROUGH OF BLAENAU GWENT
Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council has applied
to the Welsh Ministers for consent under section 38 of
the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works
on Bedwellty Common.
The proposed works are: temporary creation of
cable percussive boreholes; machine excavated trial
pits; and the installation and monitoring of gas and
groundwater standpipes into boreholes and trial pits,
within a 552m/3.16a temporary fenced compound.
The works will be located northwest of and adjoining
Cefn Golau Cemetery. The fencing will be Heras-type
temporary fencing to ensure public safety while the
works are in place.
A copy of the application form and map showing
the proposed works can be inspected at Blaenau
Gwent County Borough Council, General Offices,
Steel Works Road, Ebbw Vale NP23 6DN between
the hours of 10.00 am and 4.00 pm weekdays (not
public holidays) until the 27th day of October. A
copy of the application may be obtained by writing
to Estates & Strategic Asset Management, Blaenau
Gwent County Borough Council, General Offices,
Steel Works Road, Ebbw Vale NP23 6DN.
Any objections or representations should be sent
in writing ON or BEFORE that date to Planning
and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) at
Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3NQ,
or PEDW.casework@gov.wales. Letters sent to
PEDW cannot be treated as confidential. They
will be copied to the applicant and possibly to other
interested parties.

rhagddo.
