ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (C15 Cowbeech Hill, Herstmonceux) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Cowbeech Hill – from the junction with C344 Stunts Green to the junction with U7073 Squab Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C344 Stunts Green, West End – A271 Hailsham Road, New Road, Amberstone – C15 Featherbed Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 26 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 September 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7169 Blackness Road, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Swish Fibre Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Blackness Road – from the junction with U7168 Luxford Road to the junction with U7170 Luxford Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C483 Queens Road – U7258 Montargis Way – U7169 Luxford Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 25 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 27 September 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U7857 Palesgate Lane, Crowborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Palesgate Lane – from the junction with B2157 Green Lane to the junction with B2100 Rotherfield Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2157 Green Lane – B2100 Crowborough Hill – Rotherfield Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 25 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 25 and 26 September 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U5660 Broyle Lane, Ringmer) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Broyle Lane – from the junction with U5679 Broyle Paddock to the junction with U5679 Ballard Drive.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5660 Broyle Lane – B2192 The Broyle – U7403 Harveys Lane – U5105 Green Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 25 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 29 September 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (A2029 Fisher Street, Lewes) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

The Order commences 28 September 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 28 and 29 September 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (A259 Station Approach, Newhaven) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Station Approach – 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic westbound via A259 New Road – A259 Flyover slip on eastbound – A259 The Drove – B&Q roundabout
– A259 The Drove – A259 South Way – A259 Lewes Road – A259 North Way – A259 The Drove – A259 North Quay & eastbound via A259 Drove Road – A259 The Drove – A259 South Way – A259 Lewes Road – A259 North Way – A259 The Drove – A259 Flyover slip off – A26 New Road.

The East Sussex (U5100 St Pancras Green/Lockitt Way, Kingston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

St Pancras Green/Lockitt Way – from the junction with P5045 Church Lane to the junction with U5100 Cordons.

The East Sussex (U5522 Blatchington Hill, Seaford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Blatchington Hill – from the junction with U5440 Homefield Road to the junction with U5441 Upper Belgrave Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5440 Homefield Road – U5440 The Ridgeway – U5441 Upper Belgrave Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 6 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 6 and 11 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U5156 Castle Ditch Lane/Mount Place/ Castle Precincts, Lewes)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Hailsham Roadways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Mount Place/Castle Ditch Lane – from the junction with A2029 Mount Pleasant to The Rights of Man.
Castle Precincts – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 6 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 6 and 9 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. To allow Open Reach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Poundfield Road – from the junction with C207 Chalvington Road to the junction with C347 Lower Wick Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C207 Chalvington Road – A22 Golden Cross – A22 The Dicker – C39 Coldharbour Road – C39 High Barn Road – C39 Wick Street – C347 Lower Wick Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 8 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 8 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C13 Ripe Lane, Firle) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Ripe Lane – from the junction with C13 Firle Road to the junction with U5000 Wick Street.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C13 Firle Road – C13 Mill Lane – C331 The Street – C331 Church Lane – C207 Chalvington Road – C207 Poundfield Lane – C207 Langtye Lane – C207 The Street – A27(T) and vice versa.
The Order commences 9 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 and 10 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Knowle Lane – from the junction with B2192 Lewes Road to the junction with A22 Eastbourne Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7404 Knowle Lane – B2192 Lewes Road – A22 Eastbourne Road – U7404 Knowle Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 12 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 12 and 17 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions. The Order commences 9 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 9 and 10 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 12 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs on 12 and 13 October 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
