(Itchingfield Shipley and Southwater:

Run Barns Green Half Marathon & 10k)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the entire lengths of the following roads unless otherwise stated:-

Itchingfield: Chapel Road from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road southwards for a distance of 5 metres; Sandhills Road from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road northwards to its junction with Plumtree Cross Lane; Itchingfield Road; Plumtree Cross Lane; Muntham Drive; Westons Hill from its junction with

Christ’s Hospital Road southwards to its junction with Plum Tree Cross Lane; and

Itchingfield and Shipley: Trout Lane from its junction with Two

Mile Ash Road southwards to its junction with Lackenhurst Lane; and

Itchingfield and Southwater: Christ’s Hospital Road from its junction with King Edward Road westwards to its junction with

Westons Hill; Two Mile Ash Road from its junction with Sand

Hills Lane to its junction with Christ’s Hospital Road; and

Shipley:  Baker’s Lane; Dragons Green Road; Lackenhurst Lane; Dragons Lane from  its junction with Baker’s Lane eastwards to its junction with Dragons Green Road; and Shipley and Southwater: Marlpost Road.

These roads form part of the route to be taken by the competitors and will be closed for short periods of time on a rolling basis. Drivers will be advised of alternative routes where necessary.

Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained.

The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Run Barns Green Half Marathon & 10k Event 2023.

The Order will be operative on 24 September 2023 between 0930 hours and 1400 hours.

(Colgate & Crawley: A264 Crawley Road: Tough Mudder)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

(as amended), the effect of which will be to:-

(i)  prohibit vehicles travelling eastbound on the A264

Crawley Road from making a right turn at the Kilnwood Vale roundabout junction; and

(ii) prohibit vehicles from driving at a speed of more than 40mph on a section of the A264 Crawley Road (Westbound) between Horsham Road Roundabout and a point 400 metres west of the Crawley Road Roundabout.

The Order is necessary to facilitate safe access and egress for the event traffic whilst maintaining through traffic flows on the A264.

The Order will be operative from 0500 hours on 23 September 2023 until 2000 hours on 24 September 2023.
