What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

CLAWSON ROAD AB KETTLEBY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 06/10/2023 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake roundabout carriageway resurfacing work and various highway maintenance works.

The proposed diversion route will be via Clawson Road Ab Kettleby, Clawson Lane, Eastwell Road, Scalford Road, Waltha Road Eaton, Stathern Lane Harby, Harby Road, Long Lane Stathern, Long Lane Redmile, A52, A1, A607 Harlaxton – Melton Mowbray, Norman Way (A607), Nottingham Road Melton Mowbray – Melton Road Ab Kettleby (A606) vice versa.

During the closures, alternative routes available to all traffic can be viewed at https://one.network.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Clawson Road is to be closed from the Nottingham Road Ab Kettleby (A606) junction to the Melton Road Long Clawson junction.

EASTFIELD AVENUE, MELTON MOWBRAY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 16/10/2023 and have a maximum duration of 1 month. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 10 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake repairs to a collapsed sewer pipe and various highway maintenance works.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Eastfield Avenue, Hadfield Drive, Wycliffe Avenue, Laycock Avenue and vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Eastfield Avenue to be closed from the Laycock Avenue junction up to the Needham Close junction.

MELTON ROAD, SCALFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 14/10/2023 and have a maximum duration of 1 month.

The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 15 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow National Grid to carry out supply and connection works.

The proposed diversion route will be via: – Melton Road Scalford, Scalford Road, Norman Way (A607), Thorpe Road (A607), Melton Spinney Road Melton Mowbray, Melton Spinney Road Thorpe Arnold, Thorpe Side, Church Street Scalford, Melton Road Scalford and vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Melton Road, Scalford – to be closed for 50 metres approx. due north from the Holwell Lane junction.

SCHEDULE 2

TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION

Speed is to be temporarily reduced from 50 mph to 30 mph and is to be applied for 475 metres approx. either side of the Holwell Lane junction.

ORSTON LANE BOTTESFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 06/10/2023 and have a maximum duration of 1 month. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 10 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Network Rail to undertake railway level crossing testing.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: – Orston Lane, Longhedge Lane, Bowbridge Lane, Nottingham Road, High Street, Belvoir Road, Bottesford By Pass (A52), Station Road, Bottesford Road Orston and vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Orston Lane is to be closed for 50 metres approx. either side of the level crossing.

PASTURE LANE HOSE CLAWSON, HOSE AND HARBY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 16/10/2023 and have a maximum duration of 1 month. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow BT Open Reach and their contractors can carry cabling repair works.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Pasture Lane Hose, Clawson Road, Waltham Lane, Hose Lane Long Clawson, Clawson Lane, Pasture Lane Hose and vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

To be closed from access to Bridleway G49 for 250 metres approx. due south.

HOBY ROAD, RAGDALE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 27/09/2023 and have a maximum duration of 1 month.

The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake apparatus repair.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Hoby Road, Ragdale Road, Frisby Road Hoby, Hoby Road, Loughborough Road (A6006) Asfordby, Loughborough Road (A6006) Grimston, Six Hills Lane (B676), Six Hills Road Ragdale and vice versa.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Hoby Road is to be closed from the Main Street junction up to the access for Footpath H1.
