Rotherham - Temporary prohobition of traffic

What is happening?

ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF HIGH STREET ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of High Street from its junction with Wellgate to its junction with Moorgate Street from Monday  25th. September 2023 until Sunday 30th. June 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via local neighbouring streets.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Development of Snail Yard).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF MOOR ROAD EAST DENE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Moor Road from its junction with Central Avenue to its junction with Oval Road on Thursday  28th. September and Friday 29th. September 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via Oval Road, Alpha Road, Central Avenue and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecommunications works).

PART OF A6023 WATH ROAD WATH UPON DEARNE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A6023 Wath Road from its junction with Manvers Way/Wath Road Roundabout to the rail bridge on Saturday 30th. September and Sunday 1st. October 2023.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Wath Road, Wath

Road Mexborough Relief Road Roundabout, Swinton Road A6022, Rowms Lane,

Bridge Street, Station Street, Church Street, Rockingham Road, Woodman

Roundabout, Warren Vale Road, Wath Wood Road, Sandygate, Dearneway,

Dearneway Roundabout, Biscay Way, Station Road, Manvers Way Station Road

Roundabout, Manvers Way, Manvers Way Meadows Road Roundabout, Manvers Way Brookfields Way Roundabout, Manvers Way Wath Road Roundabout and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(7)

PART OF EASTWOOD LANE ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE

(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LOADING BAY)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an 

Order the effect of which is to temporarily suspend part of Schedule 45 of the

Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Traffic Regulations Consolidation) Order 2011 and to suspend use of loading bay on Eastwood Lane from a point approximately 10m east of Howard Street for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction from Monday 25th. September 2023 until Tuesday 25th. March 2025.

The reason for the suspension is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Development of new markets).

THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPEED DERESTRICTION) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2004

(AMENDMENT NO. 69) ORDER 2023

30 miles per hour speed limit restriction A6021 Broom Road Broom Rotherham

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council as highway authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 20th. September 2023 and which comes into effect on the 25th. September 2023. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 13th. October 2022 specified below:-

(i)    Revoke the 40mph Speed Limit to the part of road specified in Part 1 of the Schedule to this notice

(ii)   Introduce a 40mph speed limit to the part of road specified in Part 2 of the

Schedule to this notice;

A6021 Broom Road from its junction with A6021 Wickersley Road to its junction with Broom Grove.

A6021 Broom Road from its junction with A6021 Wickersley Road to a point 10m north west of the north western kerbline of Broomfield Grove.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

 (BROOM ROAD, ROTHERHAM)

(BUS AND HGV LANE) ORDER 2023 Broom Road Broom Rotherham

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as highway authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 20th. September 2023 which comes into effect on the  25th. September 2023. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was  published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 13th. October 2022. The effect of the order if implemented will be as Specified below:-

(i)    Revoke The Rotherham Borough Council (The South Yorkshire County

Council (Various roads, Rotherham) (Traffic Measures Consolidation) Order

1985) (Amendment No. 4) Order 1989) (Amendment No.39) 1998;

(ii)   Introduce the prohibition of all motor vehicles other than a bus and a heavy goods vehicle to enter, proceed or wait in the bus lanes specified in the

Schedule to this notice;

Broom Road, Rotherham

South side from its junction with the western kerb line of Fraser Road to its junction with the southern kerb line of Broom Terrace.
