Shropshire - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions To Allow Necessary Works To Be Undertaken

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (The Council) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/ or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
The Order/s came into force on 2nd October 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Back Lane, Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 6th October 2023 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach - Replace frame and cover
Alternative Route: Queen Street, New Road, Shienton Street

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chapel Street, Wem
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 4 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Lay Gas Main
Alternative Route: High Street, Mill Street, Drawwell Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Church Street to Home Farm, Condover
Date & Duration: 7th October 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - National Grid, remedial works to defective reinstatement in carriageway.
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South, Station road, A49, Unnamed road South East, Frodesley Lane, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road North West towards Cantlop

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Dye Lane, Alveley
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 5 days
Purpose: Road Closure-National Grid-70m road crossing in tarmac road for reinforcement scheme
Alternative Route: A442, Lowe Lane, Unnamed road North West and North

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chorley Village road, Chorley
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure Severn Trent Water-PRV Service
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South East, B4363, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road South West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Hunkington Lane, Withington
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, remedial works required to repair defective reinstatement.
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road East towards Withington, Caernarvon Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Stanton Lacy and Haytons Bent
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 12 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Repairs to building
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road South West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Tetchill and Lower Hordley
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Road closure required to provide safe working zone for removing pole.
Alternative Route: Unnamed road South towards Lower Hordley, Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road North East towards Tetchill, Unnamed road South

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Habberley Road, Pontesbury
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 2 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: repair CW patches
Alternative Route: Habberley Road, Brookside, Minsterley Road, Callow Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A458 Stourbridge Road, Bridgnorth
Date & Duration: 7th October 2023 between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Multevo Works
Alternative Route: A458, A449, A456, A442, A458

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Shrewsbury Road and Salop road, Oswestry
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 16 days
Purpose: Site 268 capital resurfacing. Shrewsbury Road will be closed from 09:30-16:00 and Salop Road will be closed 19:00- 06:00.
Alternative Route: A5, B5069

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A4117 Cleobury Mortimer to Lem Hill
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 33 days, weekdays 09:30-16:00 and weekends 07:00-17:00
Purpose: Site 22-19. Capital resurfacing.
Alternative Route: A4117, A456, A49, A4117

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Queens Head and Rednal
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Carriageway repairs
Alternative Route: B5009, A495, Birch road, Unnamed road South West through Tetchill and Hordley

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Pulverbatch and Wrentnall
Date & Duration: 5th October 2023 between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Repair carriageway patches
Alternative Route: Unnamed road North, A488, Callow Lane, Unnamed road East, Unnamed road North

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Wem Road, Clive
Date & Duration: 2nd October 2023 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole Removal
Alternative Route: B5476, Station Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between A4169 and Homer
Date & Duration: 5th October 2023 between 09:30 to 14:00
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach replace 1 jointbox frame and cover in Carriageway
Alternative Route: Homer road, A458, A4169

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A41 Higher Heath
Date & Duration: 7th October 2023 for 3 nights between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Road Closure to complete carriageway repairs.
Alternative Route: A41, A53, A49

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Bagginswood and Bradeley
Date & Duration: 4th October 2023 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-To provide a safe working area for engineers to access telegraph poles in order to provide fibre overhead cabling
Alternative Route: Bagginswood road, B4363, Unnamed road North West
