ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 

ALLENDALE ROAD, KEXBROUGH
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Allendale Road from Huddersfield Road to house number 3, from 25 September 2023 for approximately three weeks.
Reason: Gas mains replacement.
An alternative route is available via: Huddersfield Road/Churchfield Lane.

MANCHESTER ROAD, ECKLANDS
TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION
An order will be made to introduce a temporary 40 mph speed limit on Manchester Road from Liley lane to Old Manchester Road, from 2 October 2023 for approximately two weeks.
Reason: Drainage maintenance.

DRYDEN ROAD/HARBOROUGH HILL ROAD, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
An order has been made to introduce the following:
· A mandatory left turn from Dryden Road to Harborough Hill Road. An alternative route is available via Harborough Hill Road/Alhambra Roundabout/Harborough Hill Road. Restriction in place from 25 September for approximately 5 weeks.
· Right turn restriction on that section of Harborough Hill Road between Twibell Street and Dryden Road, allowing traffic to travel in a southbound direction towards Alhambra Roundabout or onto Dryden Road only. An alternative route is available via Harborough Hill Road/Alhambra Roundabout/Harborough Hill Road. Restriction in place from 25 September for approximately 5 weeks, to be implemented for one night only during this period.
· Prohibition of traffic in a southerly direction on that section of Harborough Hill Road between Twibell Street and Dryden Road, allowing traffic to travel in a north-westerly direction towards Old Mill Lane or to Dryden Road only. An alternative route is available via Old Mill Lane/Church Street/Shambles Street/Townend Roundabout/Westway/Alhambra Roundabout/Harborough Hill Road. Access maintained for residents of Harborough Hill Road. Restriction in place from 25 September for approximately 5 weeks, to be implemented for one night only during this period.
· Left turn restriction from Harborough Hill Road onto Dryden Road. Restriction in place from 25 September for approximately 5 weeks, to be implemented for one night only one night only during this period.
Reason: Traffic signal upgrades.

BRIDGE STREET/ST MARY’S STREET/MARKET STREET/SHREWSBURY ROAD, PENISTONE
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close the below streets:
· Bridge Street, Penistone between Barnsley Road and St Mary’s Street.
· St Mary’s Street, Penistone between Bridge Street and Market Place.
· Market Street, Penistone between Bridge Street and Park Avenue.
· Shrewsbury Road, Penistone between Market Street and Market Place.
Roads will be closed on a phased basis from 24 September 2023 for approximately 3 weeks. Closures will be in place overnight only between 1900 and 0500 (except Sundays between 1800 and 0500). Closures may not be on consecutive nights. The full extents listed will not all be closed at the same time.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing.
An alternative route for vehicles under 4 metres in height is available via: Barnsley Road/High Lee Lane/Oxspring Lane/Jockey Road/Rag Lane/Thurgoland Bank/Sheffield Road/Shrewsbury Road. An alternative route for vehicles over 4 metres in height is available via Thurlstone Road/Manchester Road/Hartcliff Road/Hartcliff Hill Road/Mossley Road/Mortimer Road/High Street.

DELL AVENUE, GRIMETHORPE
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Dell Avenue from No.17 to Brierley Road, from 25th September 2023 for approximately 7 days.
Reason: Enable carriageway resurfacing works on Brierley Road.
An alternative route is available via: Brierley Road, Park Road, Central Avenue, Dell Avenue.

BARUGH LANE, BARUGH GREEN
TEMPORARY ONE-WAY RESTRICTION
An order has been made to introduce a one-way restriction on Barugh Lane, allowing traffic to travel from Cawthorne Road towards Midhurst Grove only, from 30th September 2023, for approximately 2 weekends.
Reason: Installation of fibre.
An alternative route is available via: Claycliffe Road, Barugh Green Road.

HUDDERSFIELD ROAD/PARKSIDE WAY, DARTON
TEMPORARY NO LEFT/RIGHT TURN RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a closure on the eastern side of the traffic island at the junction with Parkside Way and Huddersfield Road, the result of which will be to introduce a no left turn from Parkside Way to Huddersfield Road and a no right turn from Huddersfield Road to Parkside Way from 9.00 pm 2 October 2023 to 6.00 am 3 October 2023.
Reason: Telecoms installation.
An alternative route is available via: Huddersfield Road/Junction 38 Roundabout/Huddersfield Road.

MANCHESTER ROAD, HARTCLIFF ROAD, FULLSHAW LANE
MILLHOUSE GREEN, CUBLEY, LANGSETT
TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION
An order will be made to introduce a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the below roads, from 2nd October 2023 for approximately 7 days.
· Manchester Road, Millhouse Green – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Moor Royd House to Fullshaw House.
· Hartcliffe Road, Cubley – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Manchester Road to Paw Hill Lane.
· Fullshaw Lane, Langsett – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Manchester Road to Field House.
Reason: To enable ground surveys.

An order will be made to close the full length of Shield Avenue, from 5 October 2023 for approximately three weeks, weekdays and Sundays only from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Reason: Footway resurfacing.
An alternative route is available via: Osmond Drive/Osmond Way/Meadow View.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)(a) (AS AMENDED)

HOYLAND FOOTPATH NOS. 5 AND 6 AND WORSBROUGH
FOOTPATH NO. 40 TEMPORARY CLOSURE
The Secretary of State has authorised a further extension of the above-named Order to close sections of Hoyland footpath nos. 5 and 6 which run between Shortwood and Rockingham to the north of Dearne Valley Parkway and Worsbrough footpath no. 40 connecting to Kestrel Way for a further 6 months until the 30 March 2024.
Alternative footpaths will be provided on site throughout works.
Reason: To enable final building construction works to be completed.
