Public Notices for Traffic Regulation Orders
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 19th September 2023 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A509 LONDON ROAD, MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1827)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow St James Group to carry out highway construction works:
Phase 1 – 25th September 2023 – 25th September 2024
• London Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with A422 to its junction with Holiday Inn.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Portway, Marlborough Street, A422 Monks Way (and vice versa).
Phase 2 – 26th September 2024 – 21st December 2024
• London Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with Holiday Inn to its junction with Moulsoe Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Portway, Marlborough Street, A422 Monks Way (and vice versa).
Phase 3 – 1st January 2025 – 31st March 2025
• London Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with Moulsoe Road to its junction with M1 Junction 14.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Portway, Marlborough Street, A422 Monks Way (and vice versa).
The above closure will take place between 25th September 2023 and 31st March 2025 (24 Hours) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (H9 GROVEWAY, V8 MARLBOROUGH STREET TO WALTON DRIVE, SIMPSON) (TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1848)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding at a speed in excess of 40mph along that part of H9 Groveway, Simpson from its junction with V8 Marlborough Street to its junction with Walton Drive Roundabout (Eastbound and Westbound) to allow Bridge Refurbishment Works. The temporary 40mph speed restriction shall come into operation on 25th September 2023 – 22nd December 2023 (24 Hours) and shall continue in force for a period of 3 months or until the works have been completed, whichever shall be the earlier.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (TONGWELL STREET H9 TO H10 NORTHBOUND AND BROWNS WOOD ROUNDABOUT (PART), WALNUT TREE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1831)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to facilitate Vodafone to carry out installation of fiber cabling works.
Tongwell Street H9 to H10, Walnut Tree – From its junction with Browns Wood Roundabout for approximately 30 meters (Northbound).
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Bletcham Way, A5, Grafton Street, Standing Way, Tongwell Street (and vice versa).
Browns Wood Roundabout, Browns Wood – At its junction with Tongwell Street.
The above closure will take place between the 25th September 2023 – 2nd October 2023 (Between 7:00pm and 6:00am each night) or until the said installation has been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (EASTBOUND), OAKRIDGE PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1844)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow BT to carryout upgrading works of the antennas on the column:
Newport Road, Oakridge Park (Eastbound) – From its junction with Selkirk Drive to its junction with Townsend Grove.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Saxon Street, Monks Way and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
The above closure will take place on 26th September 2023 (Between 9:00am and 3:00pm) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the below traffic regulation orders under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY SCE01, SHENLEY CHURCH END) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1845)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following lengths of redway:
Redway SCE01, Shenley Church End – From its junction with Redway SCE02 Shenley Church End to its junction with Number 11 Vache Lane.
Whilst the redway is closed the alternative route will be via the footway adjacent to Vache Lane on the opposite side of the road
The closures are necessary to enable Taylor Wimpey to carry out new development works.
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway.
The closures will come into effect on 2nd October 2023 and will remain in effect until 1st March 2023 (24 Hours) or when the works are complete, whichever is sooner.
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS AND REDWAYS GLEBE FARM, REDHOUSE PARK AND OLNEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023 (Reference: TTRO-1832)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of roads to enable Anglian Water to carryout maintenance and resurfacing works.
Spinney Hill Road, Olney – Outside 32 Spinney Hill Road Olney. 2nd October 2023 – 4th October 2023 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Spinney Hill Road, Spring Lane, High Street and Weston Road (and vice versa).
Redway RHP04, Redhouse Park – Adjacent to Lidl. 17th October 2023 – 19th October 2023 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of redway is closed the alternative route will be via redway NP01 Newport Pagnell, Redway BS01 Blakelands and Redway BS02 Blakelands (and vice versa).
Redway GLF02, Glebe Farm – From its junction Dankworth Way to its junction with Redway WV08 Wavendon Gate. 25th October 2023 – 27th October 2023 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of redway is closed the alternative route will be via redway GLF02 Glebe Farm on the opposite side of Newport Road and Redway WV08 Wavendon Gate (and vice versa).
Bullington End Road, Castlethorpe – From its junction North Street to its junction with Thrupp Close. 30th October 2023 – 1st November 2023 (24 Hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Bullington End Road, Bullington End and Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
