(A6089 North of Gordon) (Temporary 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (A6089 North of Gordon) (Temporary 40mph Speed

Restriction) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 28 September 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 15:30 on 29 September 2023 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 40mph along the A6089 north of Gordon from its junction with the C86 to its junction with the D57/5.

(Main Street West End, Chirnside) (Temporary No Waiting)

Order 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Main Street West End, Chirnside) (Temporary

No Waiting) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 25 September 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 2 October 2023 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of Main Street West End, Chirnside from The Bee House to Cunzie Neuk.

(Todholes & West High Street, Greenlaw) (Temporary Traffic Regulation & Revocation) Order 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Todholes & West High Street, Greenlaw) (Temporary Traffic Regulation & Revocation) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 25 September 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 6 October 2023 – 24 hour closure and restriction. The Order is required for Scottish Power works. When the Order comes into effect, in Greenlaw, no person shall:

(a)   drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Todholes from West High Street to the Manse;

(b)  permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along:                        (i) West High Street from number 13 to number 23; and               (ii) Todholes from West High Street to the Manse.

There is no alternative route. Local access will be maintained with minor delays. The Scottish Borders Council (Todholes & West High Street, Greenlaw) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023 made on 18 September 2023 is hereby revoked in its entirety.
