(Bridleway 18 and Footpath 19, Chelmsford Garden Community) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 18 and Footpath 19 Chelmsford Garden Community in the City of Chelmsford as specified below.
Footpath/Bridleway No - Description - Diversion
Bridleway 18, Chelmsford Garden Community - From a point approximately 248 metres east of Essex Regiment Way for approximately 340 metres and then south for approximately 150 metres to Regiment Gate. - Bridleway 18, footways within the Beaulieu landscaping to Regiment Gate, Commonwealth Link to footpath 19.
Footpath 19, Chelmsford Garden Community - From its junction with Bridleway 18, east for approximately 53 metres. - Footpath 19, Commonwealth Link, Regiment Gate, footways within the Beaulieu landscaping to Bridleway 18.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 29 September 2023 to 28th March 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required to facilitate upgrade of pathway and public safety whilst Beaulieu Zone K & L continues to be constructed.
The Bridleway 18, Broomfield Order which came into effect on 12 June 2023 is hereby revoked.
The Order will come into effect on 29 September 2023 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Remote Footway/Cycleway, Scholars Walk, South Woodham Ferrers)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order: To temporarily close to all under section S14(1) of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended) the remote footway/cycleway Scholars Walk, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, 20 metres either side of the bridge carrying the railway line.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 02 October for 1 day, between the hours of 02 October 10:30 to 02 October 16:30 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and work force while a detailed structure examination on the over bridge is undertaken.
No suitable alternative route available.
The Order will come into effect on 02 October and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. This Order may be extended by the Secretary of State if an extension is required.
(Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.42) Order 2023
(Various Roads (Northeast of Commonwealth Link) (Beaulieu) Springfield) (20mph Zone) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 84(1)(a) (2), Part IV and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order: To implement ‘Permit Holders Only Zone 18, Mon-Fri 8am-10am and 2pm-4pm’ on the following lengths of road, (Northeast of Commonwealth Link) (Beaulieu) Springfield, in the City of Chelmsford.
Road - Description
Charles Jeffreys Place - From a point approximately 6.78 metres northwest of its junction with Remembrance Avenue, northwest and west to its junction with Warner Drive, and north to its junction with Harris Crescent, for its entire length.
Harris Crescent - From its junction with Warner Drive, northeast, then south, to the point where it meets the Private Drives then west to its junction with Charles Jeffreys Place.
Warner Drive - From its junction with Harris Crescent, southwest, then south to the point where it meets the Private Drives.
All residential properties of Charles Jeffreys Place, Harris Crescent, and Warner Drive inclusive of those with private drives will be eligible to apply for a permit. This Order will be incorporated into ‘The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ by substituting Map Tile: TL725 105 revision 2 to revision 3.
To implement ‘20mph Zone’ on the following lengths of road, (Northeast of Commonwealth Link) (Beaulieu) Springfield, in the City of Chelmsford.
Road - Description
Charles Jeffreys Place - From a point approximately 6.78 metres northwest of its junction with Remembrance Avenue, to its junctions with Harris Crescent, and Warner Drive, for its entire lengths.
Harris Crescent - From its junction with Warner Drive, northeast, then south, and west to its junction with Charles Jeffreys Place.
Warner Drive - From its junction with Harris Crescent, southwest, then south, and west and east, for its entire length.Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 27 September 2023.

(Duke Street, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Duke Street, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Victoria Road South to its junction with Victoria Road a distance of approximately 20m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2023 for 1 night (19:00 - 23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62406156 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replace manhole cover and frame works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South, Parkway, Parkway Roundabout Baddow Road, High Bridge Road, Kings Meadow Roundabout, Springfield Road, Victoria Road and vice versa (with access only into Victoria Road South).
The Order will come into effect on 28th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hyde Lane, Danbury)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 225m south east of its junction with Capons Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013306711 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road – B1418, Tyndales Lane and vice versa (with access only into Hyde Lane).
The Order will come into effect on 28th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Loves Green, Highwood)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Loves Green, Highwood in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Bucknells Mead for a distance of approximately 45m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF1V9G2R1 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Loves Green, Highwood Road, The Causeway, Highwood Road Roundabout, Ongar Road West, Ongar Road, Chelmsford Road Straightening, Rookery Road, Nine Ashes Road, The Green, Chelmsford Road, Blackmore Road, Loves Green and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 28th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(School Road, Good Easter)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Good Easter in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Tituswell Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WC8NTM4GL01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via School Road, Mill Road, Fountain Road, Chelmsford Road, High Easter Road, Shorts Farm Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 28th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Colam Lane, Little Baddow)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colam Lane, Little Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with The Ridge for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th October 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62507392/1/RC – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer frame and cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via North Hill, Holybread Lane, Colam Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Longshots Close, Broomfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Longshots Close, Broomfield in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 280m west, north/northwest then southwest of its junction with Goulton Road for a distance of approximately 25m to its end. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd October 2023 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30033230989 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
No alternative route is available.

(Main Access Road, Broomfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Main Access Road, Broomfield in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Court Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th October 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC118BROOMFIELD4 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway reinstatement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Broomhall Road, Main Road, Court Road and vice versa (with access only into Main Access Road).
The Order came into effect on 14th September 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
