What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A416 KINGS ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A416 Kings Road, Berkhamsted from a point 42m north east of its junction with Shootersway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 47m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via A416 (Kings Road/Kingshill Way),

A41 (unnamed road), A4251 (London Road/High Street) and A416 Kings Road

or via A416 Kings Road, A4251 (High Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road) and A416 (Chesham Road/Kingshill Way/Kings Road).

The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH STREET, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Street, Bovingdon from a point in line with the western boundary of No.18 Church Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 76m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Church Street, Chipperfield Road, High Street, Church Lane and Church Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD,

BOVINGDON AND CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of

Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.              that length of Felden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Flaunden Lane north eastwards, north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 1249m.

An alternative route will be via Featherbed Lane, Bulstrode Lane, Tower Hill, Chipperfield Road, High Street, B4505 (Hempstead Road/Box Lane) and A4251 London Road.

2.              that length of Long Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Water Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Hogpits Bottom, a distance of approximately 1553m. An alternative route will be via Water Lane, Flaunden Lane and Hogpits Bottom.

3.              that length of Windmill Hill/The Common, Chipperfield from its junction with Dunny Lane north eastwards to its junction with The Street, a distance of approximately 984m.

An alternative route will be via Dunny Lane and The Street. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 October 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FELDEN LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.3 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Felden Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Felden Drive north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A4251 London Road, a distance of approximately 776m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Felden Lane, Featherbed Lane and A4251 London Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PIX FARM LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Pix Farm Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Sharpes Lane south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 360m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Sharpes Lane, A4251 London Road, Winkwell and Pix Farm Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BULBOURNE CLOSE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Bulbourne Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Grosvenor Terrace north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

The Grazings, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Highfield Lane south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 47m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TETHYS ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Tethys Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Saturn Way south eastwards to its junction with Phoebe Road, a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Saturn Way, Titan Road and Phoebe Road.

The Order is needed because electric service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
