Temporary Prohibition of All Through Traffic Order 2023

Date coming into force: 27 October 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-164

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to all through traffic the lengths of Public Right of Way specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of Public Right of Way.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 27 October 2023 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2023

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

The Avenue, Jubilee Way, Brimbleworth Lane, Pastures Avenue, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset (Temporary One-Way Restriction), (Temporary No Loading or Waiting Restriction) 2023

Date coming into force: 18 September 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-048B

Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and works vehicles.

This order was to be read in conjunction with Order 'Brimbleworth Lane, Pastures Avenue, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Temporary No Waiting or Loading Order 2023

- Ref: SW23.24- 048' and is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd for track renewal work.

This will become operative on the 18 September 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs and cones will be displayed when the measures are in force and restrictions may be temporarily lifted by representatives of Network Rail if the traffic situation dictates.

Schedule - works and restrictions commencing 9.30am on 18 September 2023 continuously until 8am on 20 September 2023 and as signs and cones dictate. One Way Restriction: Pastures Avenue from junction of Jubilee Way south westerly to outside the Health Centre. The Avenue from the junction Walford Avenue easterly to Jubilee Way. Jubilee Way from The Avenue south easterly to Pastures Avenue. No Waiting or Loading Restriction: The Avenue on left hand side from junction of Walford Avenue in an easterly direction to Jubilee Way. Jubilee Way on left hand side from The Avenue southerly to junction Pastures Avenue. Brimbleworth Lane on both sides of the road from the rail crossing northerly to the junction with Pastures Avenue 160m. Pastures Avenue on any double yellow lines and also between junction Brimbleworth Lane and junction Jubilee Way on both sides of the road 120m, and opposite junction of Jubilee Way to the boundary between property numbers 33 and 35 on the left hand side in a south-westerly direction, and from the boundary between property numbers 33 and 35 on both sides of the road to junction of the Private Road outside property number 49, and on right hand side from the yellow lines outside property number 87 to the bus stop opposite the Health Centre adjacent to property number 66, and on the left hand side from outside the Health Centre to the mini roundabout at the junction with Walford Avenue.

East Hewish Lane, Hewish, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2023

Date coming into force: 18 September 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-152

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to Install ducting for level crossing upgrade. This will become operative on the 18 September 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to commence at 8am on 21 September 2023 until 8am on 22 September 2023 and be of 24 hours in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Castle Hill, Banwell, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2023

Date coming into force: 2 October 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-165

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to cabling and jointing works (no excavation). This will become operative on the 2 October 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 nights in duration between 7pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Newtons Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2023

Date coming into force: 27 September 2023 - Ref: SW23.24-138

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace fire hydrant. This will become operative on the 27 September 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Baytree Road, Milton Road, and Locking Road, Weston-super-Mare North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use By Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 25 September 2023 - Ref: T23-52

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing works and will become operative on 25 September 2023, anticipated to be 7 shifts. These works will split into the following phases: 25/09/2023 - 26/09/2023: Road closure on Baytree Road between 08:00 - 17:00. 27/09/2023 - Road Closure on Milton Road, between 20:00 - 06:00. 28/09/2023 - 02/10/2023

- Road Closure on Locking Road (excluding the weekend) between 20:00 -06:00. 29/09/2023 - 03/10/2023 - Road Closure on Baytree Road (excluding the weekend) between 20:00 - 06:00. 03/10/2023 - Road Closure on Milton Road 20:00 - 06:00. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Night Closure - Baytree Road -Milton Road, High Street, Spring Hill, Upper Bristol Road and Baytree Road (Part unaffected) and vice versa. Milton Road - Milton Road (part unaffected), High Street, Station Road, New Bristol Road (B3440), Locking Road (B3440), Ashcombe Road, Milton Road and vice versa. Locking Road - Locking Road (B3440) (Part unaffected), Drove Road (B3440), Winterstoke Road (A370), Marchfields Way (A370), Herluin Way (A370), Flowerdown Bridge (A370), Somerset Avenue (A370), Bristol Road (A370), Bristol Road (B3440), New Bristol Road (B3440), Locking Road (B3440) and vice versa.

Notice of Intent Milton Park Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Prohibition of Motor Vehicles Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984 as amended and Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit motor vehicles to enter or proceed on that length of Road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice, with an exemption for pedal cycles and vehicles gaining access to properties. Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan and a statement of the councils reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-Super-Mare BS23 1UJ, or online at following website address: https://www.n-somerset.gov.uk/notices.
