Horrobin Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HORROBIN LANE, ANDERTON AND RIVINGTON, CHORLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian (except for event participants) from proceeding over the following length of Horrobin Lane.
i. Horrobin Lane, Anderton from a point 587 metres east of its junction with New Road to its merging with Horrobin Lane, Rivington
ii. Horrobin Lane, Rivington from its merging with Horrobin Lane, Anderton for a distance of 270 metres.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures will be signed locally. Traffic will also be let through at intervals.
Access will be maintained.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the safe holding of filming on the highway.
The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours to 1300 hours on Thursday 21st September 2023. Or until completion of the filming.
