LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) (Cottage Road, Headingley, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road Closure for CityFibre build works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect Of Which Will be that: NO person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Cottage Road, Headingley, Leeds in the Weetwood Ward between its junctions with Otley Road and Moor Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Moor Road, Weetwood Lane, Otley Road. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on 14 September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Sayner Lane, Hunslet, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway, road closure is required for safety from ongoing factory works. Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: NO person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Sayner Lane, Hunslet, Leeds. A diversionary route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via Clarence Road, Carlisle Road. Access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order shall come into operation on 18 September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. Town Police Clauses Act 1847 – Section 21 Mint Festival, Newsam Green Farm, Leeds (Temporary Prohibition and Restriction of Traffic) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 14 September 2023, Leeds City Council made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847. The effect of the Order is that the roads or parts of roads in the locations specified in the Schedule hereto will be closed to vehicles with additional traffic measures on the specified dates:

SCHEDULE

1.    No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to turn right leaving the site from shuttle/Mint taxi Gate 1 onto Newsam Green Road between 8:30am on 16 September and 11:59pm on 17 September.

2.    No person shall cause any vehicle to wait between 8:30am on 16 September and 1am on 18 September on: Pontefract Lane from Newsam Green Road to Lakeside Way, Newsam Green Road from Pontefract Lane to Bullerthorpe Lane, Bullerthorpe Lane from its junction with Newsam Green Road for a distance of 500m North and 500m South.

3.    No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 30mph on Pontefract Lane and Newsam Green Road from the junction of Newsam Green Road and Bullerthorpe Lane and the junction of Pontefract Lane and Lakeside Way, between 8:30am on 16 September and 11:59pm on 17 September.

4.    No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 40mph on Bullerthorpe Lane from its junction with Newsam Green Road for a distance of 1km North and 350m South, between 8:30am on 16 September and 11:59am on 17 September.

5.    No entry for vehicles (except buses associated with the event) turning into Newsam Green from Bullerthorpe Lane between 9pm and 11:59pm on 16 September and 17 September.

6.    Temporary Traffic Signals: Bullerthorpe Lane and Newsam Green Road: three-way signals as required between 8am and 11:59pm on 16 September and 17 September.

7.    Road Closure: Pontefract Lane from Junction 45 Lakeside Way to gate 2: between 9pm and 11:59pm on 16 September and 17 September.

8.    Suspension of parking restrictions: Springwell Road from Water Lane to Springwell View for temporary coach bay between 8:30am on 16 September and 1am on 18 September.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the relevant event. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained to all premises situated or adjacent to any road or part of road to which restrictions apply including other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only such road. Section 21 Town Police Clauses Act 1847 Temporary Road Closures Order 2023  Leeds Bear Hunt Parade Sunday 17th September 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council has made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847. The effect of the Order is that the roads specified in the Schedule hereto will be closed to vehicles in sequence between 17:00 hours and 17:45 hours on Sunday 17th September 2023 to facilitate the Leeds Bear Hunt Parade.

SCHEDULE

Parade will start at 17:00pm walking North up Briggate, turning west along Albion Place, the North up Lands Lane. At the junction of The Headrow, the parade will turn left (West) and move along The Headrow (crossing over the junction of Albion Street and The Headrow) until Cookridge Street, when it will turn North and finish in Victoria Gardens in front of the Henry Moore Institute. Each road referred to above will be closed in turn by way of a rolling closure, together with the junctions of intersecting roads, as the procession proceeds traffic management will be used to control the closures. (Micklefield Definitive Footpath Number 7 (High Royds Crossing) Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger arising to the public (essential repairs), Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is as follows:-No person shall proceed along: 1. Micklefield Definitive Footpath Number 7; where it meets High Royds railway crossing. A Diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via: Micklefield Definitive Footpath No.7; No.1; No.3, to Great North Road, heading south to Micklefield Definitive Footpath No.7, and vice versa. The Order is intended to operate from: a. 00:00 hours on Friday 15th September 2023 and will remain in force for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is sooner. Definitive Byway Barwick 41 (Temporary Prohibition  of Waiting and Parking) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of footpath repair works to regulate the existing footpath, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is as follows:- No person shall proceed along Definitive Byway Barwick 41 from Definitive Footpath Barwick 40 to a point 940m East along the footway. The Order is intended to operate from 14 September 2023 for 24 hours a day and will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed if earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed on 2 October 2023. Ref: TC10056.

(Parlington Public Bridleway No. 2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because remedial works are being executed on or near the under mentioned (due to falling tunnel masonry), Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which will be as follows:- No person shall proceed along: 1. Parlington Bridleway Tunnel No 2 from a point close to the north-east of the tunnel (SE 4235 3599), for a distance of 78 metres, to a point at the south end of the tunnel SE 4229 3594). A Diversionary route for users affected by the closure will be available via a parallel path running just south of the tunnel. The Order is intended to operate from: a. 00:00 hours on Friday 15th September 2023 and will remain in force for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is sooner. (Traffic Regulation) (Waiting Restrictions) (No.11) Order 2015 Amendment No 1 Order 2023

Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Orders under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce:-

1.    No Waiting at any time on parts of: Burton Crescent, Weetwood; Clayton Wood Close, Weetwood; Foxhill Court, Weetwood; Grove Road, Weetwood; Otley Old Road, Weetwood; Tinshill Road, Weetwood; Weetwood Lane, Weetwood

2.    No Waiting between specified hours:- Monk Bridge Road, Weetwood, both sides from a point 30 metres south west of its junction with the projected south western kerbline of Stonegate Road/Meanwood Road to its junction with the projected north eastern kerbline of Grove Road. Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm (Inclusive)

3.    On Street Parking Places for Vehicles Displaying a Disabled Persons Badge: Iveson Drive, Weetwood, the south side from a point 28 metres east of its junction with the projected eastern kerb line of Parkstone Avenue in an easterly direction for a distance of 8 metres. Vehicles displaying in the relevant position a disabled persons badge. All days/All Hours.

4.    On Street Parking Places for Vehicles Displaying a Permit: Iveson Drive, Weetwood, the south side from a point 15 metres east of its junction with the projected eastern kerb line of Parkstone Avenue in an easterly direction for a distance of 13 metres. Vehicles displaying a valid permit. A person who has been issued a permit authorised by the Council. All Days/All Hours.

5.    The revocation of existing items as identified in the draft Order Schedules. (Traffic Regulation) (Waiting Restriction) (No.14) Order 2012 Amendment No.1 Order 1 2023 Various Bus Priority Measures

Leeds City Council has now made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which comes into force on 15th September 2023 is to introduce:

1.    Bus Taxi & Pedal Cycle Lanes With Flow: Otley Road (A660), Weetwood, east-side, nearside lane, from a point 68.5 metres north of its junction with the projected northern kerb line of Weetwood House Court in a southerly then south easterly direction to a point 4 metres south east of its junction with the Burton Crescent – South Eastbound, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9.30am (inclusive); Otley Road (A660), Weetwood, east-side, nearside lane, from a point 4 metres south east of its junction with Burton Crescent in a south easterly direction for a distance of 114 metres – South Eastbound, all days/all hours.

2.    The revocation of existing items as identified in the draft Order Schedules. A copy of the Orders together with plans showing the affected sections of highway may be obtained by e-mailing legal.development@leeds.gov.uk. Leeds City Council has today made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order which comes into force on 18 September 2023 is to introduce:-

1.    No Waiting At Any Time on lengths of:- Alwoodley Lane, (south side); Alwoodley Lane, (south side); Alwoodley Lane, (SW side); Harrogate Road, (NW side); High Ash Drive, (SW side); High Ash Drive, (NW) side) Hodgson Avenue, (both sides); Kingfisher Way, (NE side); Kingfisher Way, (SW side); Lingfield View, (both sides); Lingfield View, (SW side); Nursery Close, (both sides); Nursery Lane, (south side); Nursery Lane, (south side); Plantation Gardens, (both sides); Primley Park Crescent, (SE side): Ring Road, (north side); Sandmoor Avenue, (both sides); Sandmoor Lane, (both sides); Sandmoor Lane, (both sides); Shadwell Lane, (NW side); Wigton Lane, (both sides); Wigton Lane, (south side) Wigton Lane, (SW side).

2.    No Waiting Monday to Friday (inclusive) between 8.00am & 9.00am or between 2.30pm & 3.30pm on: Birkdale Drive (east side); Birkdale Drive, (west side); Birkdale Green (both sides); Birkdale Way, (SW side); Fir Tree Approach, (SW side); High Ash Drive (NW side); High Ash Drive, (SE side); Lingfield Approach, (NW side); Lingfield Approach, (SE side); Nursery Lane (north side; Nursery Lane, (south side); Nursery Lane, (south side). A. The Order also revokes existing items as scheduled in the Order.

Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce:-

1.    Prohibition of All Motor Vehicles:- Calverley Street, from a point 8 metres south of its junction with Alexander Street in a southerly direction to its junction with the southern kerb line of Victoria Gardens. Except for access to off street premises.

2.    Ahead only:- The Headrow (westbound), from a point 5 metres east of its junction with East Parade in a westerly direction to a point 5 metres west of its junction with East Parade. 3. One Way Street:- Calverley Street, from its junction with the northern kerb line of The Headrow in a northerly direction to its junction with the southern kerbline of Victoria Gardens. Except pedal cycles.
