WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAKEFIELD

(HIGH STREET, CASTLEFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 213) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management for plain line tamping to improve track quality to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, Lumley Street, Lumley Hill, Jin Whin Hill, Leeds Road, Methley Road, Wood Street, Albion Street & vice versa. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th September 2023 between 00.01 hours and 05.30 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WHINNEY LANE, STREETHOUSE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 214) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management for level crossing renewal to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Whinney Lane, Streethouse, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Whinney Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Whinney Lane, Mill Lane, New Road, Common Side Lane, Wakefield Road, Whinney Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th September 2023 at 23.00 hours to 18th September 2023 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(STATION LANE, FEATHERSTONE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 215) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management to install rails & replacement ballast to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Lane, Featherstone, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Station Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Station Lane, Green Lane, Common Side Lane, Wakefield Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th September 2023 at 23.55 hours to 17th September 2023 at 08.50 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(PERSEVERANCE STREET, CASTLEFORD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 219) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management for new water connection to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Perseverance Street, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Perseverance Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A. Dead end street.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th September 2023 at 08.00 hours to 20th September 2023 at 17.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(LEEDS ROAD, GLASSHOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 220) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management for rerailing works to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Glasshoughton. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Aketon Road, Cutsyke Road, Bruce Smeaton Way & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th September 2023 at 23.55 hours to 19th September 2023 at 05.45 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 226) 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install 2 new BT poles to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract from outside 21 Skinner Lane, 100 metres to near to 2 Skinner Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: De Lacy Way, Lady Balk Lane, Monkhill Lane, Mill Dam Lane, North Baileygate, Northgate, Skinner Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th September 2023 at 00.00 to 30th September 2023 at 05.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
