What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF A618 MANSFIELD ROAD WALES SHEFFIELD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) 

is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A618 Mansfield Road from a point approximately 50m north of the rail bridge to a point approximately 50m south of the rail bridge from 10pm on Sunday 17th September until 7am on Monday 18th September 2023. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via A618 Mansfield Road,A618 Rotherham Road, B6058 Sheffield Road, B6058 Station Road, B6053 Eckington Way, B6053 B6053 Waterthorpe Greenway, B6053 Drake House Way,A57 Mosborough Parkway,A57 Chesterfield Road Roundabout,A57 Chesterfield Road,A57 Aston Way Chesterfield Road Roundabout,A57 Aston Way and vice versa. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(7) PART OF EASTWOOD LANE ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LOADING BAY)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily suspend part of Schedule 45 of the Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Traffic Regulations Consolidation) Order 2011 and to suspend use of loading bay on Eastwood Lane from a point approximately 10m east of Howard Street for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction from Monday 25th. September 2023 until Tuesday 25th. March 2025. The reason for the suspension is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Development of new markets). ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) VARIOUS ROADS AT BRINSWORTH ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the ten parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 18th September and Tuesday 17th October 2023. NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order is via local neighbouring streets except for cul de sacs. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Carriageway resurfacing).

SCHEDULE

(i) Normanville Avenue between both its junctions with Bawtry Road service road.

(ii) Hackness Lane from its junction with Crownhill Road to its junction with Godric Drive.

(iii) Godric Green from its junction with Godric Drive to the end of the cul de sac.

(iv) Godric Drive from its junction with Normanville Avenue to its junction with Pringles Crescent.

(v) Alric Drive from its junction with Normanville Avenue to its junctions with Bawtry Road service road.

(vi) Bawtry Road service road its junction with Normanville Avenue to its junction with A631 Bawtry Road.

(vii) Letard Drive at its junction with Normanville Avenue.

(viii) Crownhill Road at its junction with Normanville Avenue

(ix) Croft Road at its junction with Normanville Avenue.

(x) Blackmoor Crescent at its junction with Godric Drive.

Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council, acting as the local highway authority, proposes to construct in accordance with its powers under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, road humps on the roads listed in the Schedule to this Notice. The construction of the road humps is intended to control the speed of vehicles along this road. Further details of the nature, dimensions, and location of the road humps to be constructed can be obtained by contacting the Council’s Director of Regeneration and Environment, Riverside House, Main Street, Rotherham S60 1AE. Objections to the proposal to construct the road hump at the location specified and other representations can be sent to the undersigned at the address given below (quoting reference: IS/122/21643/HT/03) and must be received by the undersigned not later than the 13th October 2023. ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ROTHERHAM) (SPEED LIMITS & SPEED DERESTRICTION) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2004 (AMENDMENT NO. 78) ORDER 2023

40 miles per hour and 50 miles per hour speed limit restrictions

A630 Centenary Way and A6178 Sheffield Road Rotherham Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order if implemented will be:-

(i) Revoke the 40mph Speed Limit to the part of road specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this notice;

(ii) Revoke the 50mph Speed Limit to the part of road specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this notice;

(iii) Introduce a 40mph speed limit to the part of road specified in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this notice;

(iv) Introduce a 50mph speed limit to the part of road specified in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this notice;

SCHEDULE 1

Part 1 To be revoked Schedule 4 40mph Speed Limit

(xiii) Centenary Way (A630), Rotherham, from its junction with the A6178 Sheffield Road roundabout, in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Main Street, including the roundabout, a distance of approximately 685 metres.

Part 2 To be revoked Schedule 5 50mph Speed Limit

(ii) West Bawtry Road/Centenary Way (A630), Canklow, from its junction with Rotherway and including the Rotherway roundabout to its junction with Sheffield Road and including the Canklow Roundabout, a distance of approximately 2745 metres.

SCHEDULE 2

Part 1 To be introduced Schedule 4 40mph speed limit

(Lxxxiii) Centenary Way (A630), Rotherham, from a point 20m north of its junction with the A6178 Sheffield Road roundabout, in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Main Street, a distance of approximately 645 metres.

Part 2 To be introduced Schedule 5 50mph Speed Limit

(ii) West Bawtry Road/Centenary Way (A630), Canklow, from its junction with Rotherway and including the Rotherway roundabout to its junction with Sheffield Road and including the Canklow Roundabout, a distance of approximately 2725 metres.

A copy of the proposed Order, a map relating to it and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Rotherham Borough Council, Riverside House, Main Street, Rotherham S60 1AE

Objections to the proposed Order and other representations relating to it can be sent to the undersigned at the address given below (quoting reference NF/70624, e-mail: Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk) and must be received by the undersigned not later than 6th. October 2023. All objections and other representations must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
