NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Council have made these Orders under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53, 84(1) to (2), 101 and 102 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) the effect of which will be to introduce the following:
• 20mph speed limit on lengths of PARADISE STREET, SUFFOLK STREET QUEENSWAY, LYON QUEENSWAY and BROAD STREET
• compulsory left turn restriction on RYLAND STREET at its junction with Broad Street
• compulsory ahead only restriction on a length of HAGLEY ROAD
• no entry restrictions on CENTENARY SQUARE (northeast bound), BRIDGE STREET (southeast bound) and SHEEPCOTE STREET (southeast bound) at their junctions with Bridge Street, Centenary Square and Broad Street respectively
• no right turn restriction on BROAD STREET at its junction with Bishopsgate Street
• no U-turn restrictions on BROAD STREET and HAGLEY ROAD at their junctions with Bishopsgate Street and Fiveways Underpass respectively
• one-way restrictions on lengths of BROAD STREET, BERKLEY STREET, CORNWALL STREET, GAS STREET, GRANVILLE STREET and BISHOPSGATE STREET
• red route no stopping restrictions on lengths of CENTENARY SQUARE, BROAD STREET, FIVEWAYS UNDERPASS, HAGLEY ROAD and side roads adjoining aforementioned roads.
• bus lane and bus only road restrictions on lengths of BROAD STREET, CENTENARY SQUARE, HAGLEY ROAD & FIVEWAYS UNDERPASS
• waiting & loading restrictions on lengths of HAGLEY ROAD and CORNWALL STREET
• no overtaking restriction on a length of BROAD STREET
• prohibition of motor vehicles on SHEEPCOTE STREET at its most southwestern junction with Broad Street
• pedestrian zone on a length of Hagley Road (tram stop)

If any person wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to these Orders may within 6 weeks from the 14th September 2023 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
