ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) (Leylands Road, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Delivery of a piling rig to site Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Leylands Road, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward between its junctions with Concord Street and Skinner Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via:Skinner Lane, North Street, Holroyd Street, Sheepscar Street South, Benson Street, Cross Stamford Street, Regent Street, Byron Street. Byron Street, North Street. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Tuesday 3rd October 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Wednesday 25th October 2023. The closure will be in place between 17:00 and 01:00 hrs on each day of operation. The specific dates that the closure will be in place are: Tuesday 03/10/2023 - Wednesday 04/10/2023. Thursday 19/10/2023 - Friday 20/10/2023. Tuesday 24/10/2023 - Wednesday 25/10/2023.

(Leeds Road, Lofthouse, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road Closure required for resurfacing works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Leeds Road, Lofthouse, Leeds in the Ardsley & Robin Hood Ward between its junctions with Leadwell Road and Thorpe Lower Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Leeds Road, Copley Lane, Leadwell Lane. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 18th September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Jack Lane, Hunslet, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (One way road closure East bound due to Gas main replacement works.) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Jack Lane, Hunslet, Leeds in the Hunslet & Riverside ward between its junctions with Marshall Street and Meadow Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Marshall Street, Sweet Street. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Thursday 21st September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Smithy Lane, Bardsey, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road Closure required for cable works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Smithy Lane, Bardsey, Leeds, Leeds in the Harewood Ward between its junctions with Church Lane and Tithe Barn Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Church Lane, Tithe Barn Lane and vice versa. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 18th September 2023 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Eid-E-Milad-Un-Nabi Procession Sunday 24th September 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District, has today made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibiting the use of certain roads by vehicles to facilitate the holding of the Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi procession on Sunday 24th September 2023. The event will require the closure of certain roads and road junctions in Harehills. The effect of the Order shall be that: No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule hereto between the times and on the date specified. The Order will come into effect oat 14:00 hours on Sunday 24th September 2023 and will continue in force until 18:00 hours. The roads to be closed are set out in the Schedule hereto. Where necessary local diversions will be in operation, signed as appropriate. The Order will not at any time prevent access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the Order relates, or to any premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, any such road. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Notice
(Leeds Memory Walk Temple Newsam Leeds) 30 September 2023
WHEREAS Leeds City Council is the traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District; and WHEREAS Leeds Memory Walk 2023 is to be held at Temple Newsam).
TAKE NOTICE that in the interests of public safety it is considered necessary that:
1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to use The Elm Walk (full length);
2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle (other than a vehicle requiring access to property on or adjacent to the road) to use the roads set out in Schedule 1 below, between 10:00 hours on Saturday 30 September 2023 and 15:00 hours Saturday 30 September 2023.
3. No person shall wait on any length of road specified in Schedule 2 below, between 10:00 hours on Saturday 30 September 2023 and 15:00 hours Saturday 30 September 2023 (PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the relevant event. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained to all premises situated or adjacent to any road or part of road to which restrictions apply including other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only such road).
SCHEDULE 1 – EXTENT OF ROADS AFFECTED
1. The full lengths of Gibson Drive; Pickard Court; Barton Court; Lennox Gardens; Stewart Close; Manor Garth; Pendil Close; Maltby Court; Manor Croft; Newsam Green Road.
2. Colton Road – from its junction with The Elm Walk to its junction with Gibson Drive.
3. Pontefract Lane – from its junction with Junction 45 of the M1, in a generally easterly direction to its termination.
4. Temple Newsam Road – from its junction with New Temple gate in a southerly direction to its termination.
SCHEDULE 2 – PROHIBITION OF WAITING
1. No Waiting on Temple Newsam Road, from the junction of Selby Road for its entire length.
2. No Waiting on Irwin Approach entire length.
3. No Waiting on Colton Road, for a distance of 350m from its junction with Selby Road.
(Traffic Regulation) (Movement Restriction) (No.11) Order 2023
Proposed Prohibition of Motor Vehicles (Except for access) Street 5, Thorp Arch Trading Estate
Leeds City Council has today made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which comes into force on 15th September 2023 is to introduce:
1. Prohibition of all Motor Vehicles – Street 5, Thorp Arch – From a point 38.5 metres south east of its junction with Avenue A in a south easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres – All Days 7pm to 6am (inclusive)
A copy of the Orders together with plans showing the affected sections of highway may be obtained by e-mailing legal.development@leeds.gov.uk. if you wish to object to question the validity of an Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
