What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH ABBOTS LANGLEY 40
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Abbots Langley 40, heading south from north end of the field to junction with Gypsy Lane, for an approximate distance of 250m.
Alternative route: via route along nothern and estern field boundary.
The purpose of the Order is to enable ecological enhancement works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 11 September 2023 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A41 NORTH WESTERN AVENUE, WATFORD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A41 North Western Avenue, Watford from its junction with the A412 St Albans Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Purbrock Avenue, a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, A405 North Orbital Road and A41 North Western Avenue.
The Order is needed because electrical service repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUCKINGHAM ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Buckingham Road, Borehamwood from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.30 Buckingham Road southwards for a distance of approximately 31m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Buckingham Road, Norfolk Gardens and Buckingham Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN MERIDEN, WATFORD,
ALDENHAM AND BUSHEY) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. that length of Garston Lane, Meriden/The Gossamers, Watford from its junction with Codicote Drive north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with York Way, a distance of approximately 991m.
An alternative route will be via Garston Lane, A412 St Albans Road, A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, Westlea Avenue, Meriden Way and York Way.
2. that length of Hilfield Lane, Watford from its junction with Summerhouse Lane north westwards to its junction with B462 Hartspring Lane, a distance of approximately 803m.
An alternative route will be via Hilfield Lane, Sandy Lane, A41 Elton Way and B462 Hartspring Lane.
3. the B462 Hartspring Lane roundabout, Bushey from its junction with A41 Elton Way clockwise for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via A41 Elton Way, Sandy Lane, Hilfield Lane and B462 Hartspring Lane.
4. that length of Colne Way, Watford from its junction with Woodmere Avenue north westwards to its junction with Tudor Avenue, a distance of approximately 150m.
An alternative route will be via Woodmere Avenue, Douglas Avenue and Tudor Avenue.
5. that length of A405 North Orbital Road, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, A41 North Western Avenue and A405 North Orbital Road or via A405 North Orbital Road, High Road and Horseshoe Lane.
6. that length of York Way/Meriden Way/Westlea Avenue, Watford from its junction with The Gossamers south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, a distance of approximately 580m.
An alternative route will be via The Gossamers, Garston Lane, A412 St Albans Road and A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way.
7. that length of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from its junction with A405 North Orbital Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road, A41 North Western Avenue and A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road).
The Order is needed because carriageway repair works are proposed to be executed on the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SILK MILL ROAD, OXHEY HALL) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Silk Mill Road, Oxhey Hall from a point in line with the western boundary of No.14 Silk Mill Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Silk Mill Road, Riverside Road, Blackwell Drive, A4178 Deacons Hill, A4125 Eastbury Road and Silk Mill Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Redheath Close, Watford from a point in line with the south western boundary of No.32 Redheath Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 31m ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via Masefield Avenue, Furzehill Road, Milton Drive, Vale Avenue and Masefield Avenue.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kenford Close, Watford from its junction with Horseshoe Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 17m ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane, Chorleywood from a point 327m south west of its junction with Common Gate Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Common Gate Road, Chorleywood Bottom, Quickley Lane, Rendlesham Way, Stag Lane and Berry Lane.
The Order is needed because gas service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucks Hill, Sarratt/The Common, Chipperfield from its junction with Sarratt Public Bridleway No.057 north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Chipperfield Public Footpath No.001, a distance of approximately 734m ("the length of Roads").
An alternative route will be via Bucks Hill, Toms Hill, Chandlers Lane, Redhall Lane, Sarratt Road, Dimmocks Lane, The Green, Poles Hill, Dunny Lane, The Street, The Common and Bucks Hill.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the length of Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 September 2023 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-
1. the footpath fronting Nos.29-32 Oak Green, Abbots Langley from its junction with Oak Green north eastwards for a distance of approximately 39m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north and east sides of Oak Green, the footway situated on the south side of Wadham Road, the footway situated on the west side of Queens Drive, the footway situated on the north side of Keble Terrace and the footpath situated on the west side of No.8 Keble Terrace.
2. the footpath situated on the west side of No.8 Keble Terrace, Abbots Langley from its junction with Keble Terrace north westwards for a distance of approximately 14m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Keble Terrace, the footway situated on the west side of Queens Drive, the footway situated on the south side of Wadham Road, the footway situated on the east and north sides of Oak Green and the footpath fronting Nos.29-32 Oak Green.
3. the footpath fronting Nos.69-73 Furtherfield, Abbots Langley from its junction with Keble Terrace south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Oak Green, a distance of approximately 52m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Keble Terrace, the footway situated on the west side of Queens Drive, the footway situated on the south side of Wadham Road and the footway situated on the east and north sides of Oak Green.
4. the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.14-17 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from its junction with Oak Green south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west, south and east sides of Oak Green, the footpath fronting Nos.50-51 Oak Green, the footpath situated on the south side of No.51 Oak Green and the footpath situated on the south side of No.17 Oak Green Way.
5. the footpath fronting Nos.1-11 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from its westernmost junction with Oak Green north eastwards for a distance of approximately 52m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east, south and west sides of Oak Green.
6. the footpath fronting Nos.18-23 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.6 Oak Green Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.1-11 Oak Green Way, the footpath fronting Nos.50-51 Oak Green and the footpath situated on the south side of No.51 Oak Green.
7. the footpath fronting Nos.13-17 Oak Green Way, Abbots Langley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.9 Oak Green Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath fronting Nos.1-11 Oak Green Way, the footpath fronting Nos.50-51 Oak Green and the footpath situated on the south side of No.51 Oak Green.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 September 2023 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.
